Scott Walker gave a pretty rousing announcement speech without notes or teleprompter about big, bold ideas from outside of Washington, but it would be hard to say he has generated a whole lot of excitement.
Maybe thats because on Monday night he became the 15th Republican candidate to jump into the race. Maybe its because President Obamas announcement of a nuclear deal with Iran yesterday knocked him out of the headlines. Maybe its because he is missing a certain pizzazz.
Despite his lack of a national profile, the Wisconsin governor shot to the top of the polls when he started campaigning for president. He was a hero in conservative circles because he clobbered the public employee unions in his state and triumphed in a recall election.
Yet the media consensus is that he stumbled and stalled. There was a long period where Walker seemed to fade from the media radar, even before the coverage turned All Trump All the Time. The governor was undoubtedly spending time fundraising and meeting with policy experts, and, well, hes also got a state to run. But that enabled the spotlight to shift to Jeb and Marco, and Ted and Rand, and ultimately The Donald....

The Unions say Scott Walkers campaign has stalled — are they right?
Didn’t it just start?
Hillary Clinton: Not a word in a month = “brilliant strategy”
Scott Walker: Not a word in 3 days = “stalled”.
? Its wishful thinking, not reality. Trump is overwhelming the other 99 - all of them. Walker is still 3rd nationally and leading Iowa.
I think we need a tournament to thin the herd here. A sort of Republican Sweet 16 to get down to a manageable 4 or so by the fall.
Have a RINO regional, a Mexican-Hater bracket, a Free-market economics regional, and Moral majority bracket.
the media say that trump is an avowed racist.
the media say that cruz is a dangerous lunatic.
the media say that jeb is probably our guy.
people need to stop listening to what the media say.
Huh?
Sorry, “Border Security bracket” I was using colorful language
Walker should never have gotten in. Getting in demonstrates lack of judgment and his resulting loss will reflect poorly in the long run. He'll be a loser (not as unlikeable as Santorum, but diminished just the same). Better to have not run, maintain stature and position as VP candidate. Instead, for vanity he's wasting people's money, enriching the media in the process.
I’ve said this before here, Walker peaked earlier this year when Rush did his best to promote him...after that didn’t ignite the base for him...you’re seeing the base move to Cruz and Trump. Walker is conservative myth, your classic career politician, very uninspiring. He’s the GOP establishments back up to JEb. Walker hires Ex Romney people and that slug Brad Dayspring...tells you all you need to know about how he’ll “govern”...just like all the other reach across the aisle white flag Repukes.

Trump has taken the air out of everyone else’s campaign, at least until the debate.
Walker’s anouoncement speech generated all the excitement of a flea circus.
My girlfriend’s husband has been all about Walker for months. He watched the announcement speech and was totally turned off.
Look for a fade soon.
the day after it started?
the unions hate him that’s for sure
and that is one reason he is in my top 3
Cruz Trump Walker
It’s a quagmire!!
"Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has had some long days since throwing his hat in the ring Monday as the Republican partys latest presidential hopeful, and despite a lack of sleep, he revved up about 200 party faithful this morning inside a North Charleston Harley-Davidson dealership."
Stalled? I didn’t know it started.
And consider this, Trump hasn’t even begun spending any money.
