What a difference a couple of announcements can make. First, former Governor Jeb Bushs declaration that he is indeed running for President gave him the predictable bounce that most candidates normally get. Then the travesty of real estate developer/reality television star Donald Trumps all-for-show announcement probably made some Republicans stare into the abyss and see a bona fide travesty. In any event, the newest Zogby Analytics Poll of 350 likely Republican primary/caucus voters nationwide has Mr. Bush in a solid first place position with 20% support. His closest challenger is famous neurosurgeon Ben Carson with 10%. No other candidate reaches double digits and several have dropped precipitously since the last Zogby Poll taken just two weeks ago.
Bush and Dr. Carson are followed by Texas Senator Ted Cruz with 8% (6% in early June) and Trump 8% (6% before), then Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker 7% (9%), Kentucky Senator Rand Paul 6% (11%), newly announced New Jersey Governor Chris Christie 5% (5%), Florida Senator Marco Rubio 4% (7%), former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal tied at 3% (down from 7% for Huckabee and from 1% for Jindal), former Texas Governor Rick Perry 2% (4%), and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, and Ohio Governor John Kasich all at 1%. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and former New York Governor George Pataki did not reach 1%.[continued]

Who are they polling? I follow politics and can’t find a single outlet rooting for Bush.
With this kind of writing and bias, is it any wonder the Forbes family has been selling off assets and a share of the company since their father died?
Here we go again.
Nominating a candidate that makes your voters vomit is hard work.
Jebster is a designated loser.

This is bunk......we don’t vote nationally in a primary....what idiots. Bush will NOT get he nomination. Someone else will.....who that will be is still to be determined but it won’t be Bush.
I remember hearing that about Romney. Not disagreeing with you; just saying, we may be headed for another dose of castor oil. The GOP knows whats good for us. Open wide!
If Jeb is the nominee, then I'll leave that voting opportunity blank.
Ditto - I don’t know one person who would vote for Bush, and that includes ME! I think it’s the Bush name, but, Lord have mercy - no more Bushes or Clintons.
350 likely primary voters nationwide?
Regardless of who the nominee is, Freepers will not support him.
We have never backed the GOP nominee.
I vote for Mitt.
ANYTHING is better than the alternative.
Lies.
If the progressives lose, they hope a left of center Republican wins so that they can consolidate their gains.
2016 will be particularly brutal since it’s predicted that 3 or 4 Supreme Court Nominations may come up in the next term, certainly over the next two terms.
Jeb is going to try to get in the same way Romney did, it took Romney a while getting 2nd and 3rd places but they piled up
They are polling Democrats! LOL!
Don’t believe it. Too early and pollsters don’t ask the pertinent questions or they ask trick questions.
I don’t know ANYONE voting for Jeb!
Not one person!
Actually, I’m heartened by this poll, if it’s even close to accurate. First, Jeb is probably leading due to a lots of coverage and a famous name (no one in history has ever run for president with a father & brother who’ve already had the job) and the fact that he was governor of a large, populous state and part of the hanging chads episode. Ben Carson isn’t going to happen and Don Trump probably won’t either. That leaves Ted Cruz in the top four.
“350 likely Republican primary/caucus voters nationwide “
What a useless poll.
If Cruz is not on the ballot, I shall write in his name.
So, no matter what happens, I shall vote for the candidate I choose, no one else.
Hilarious on its face, isn’t it?
Three hundred and fifty! LOL!
