Actually, freerepublic endorsed Newt Gingrich.
A distinct possibility. And the post debate polls will reflect the results.
I am not a one man news organization, but I think Governor Walker has taken some initial steps towards a run. But I will accede to your point.
Well played.
+1.
Senator is not running as president of FR. He is running a national campaign. What would be smart for conservative republicans to do is to unite behind one candidate before it is too late. That candidate should be whoever is ahead in delegate counts mid-way through primaries.
I have been harping on this point for months. Only way Jeb Bush wins is if multitude of more conservatives keep splitting the votes. In 2012, Romney could’nt get over 30% in the initial primaries. But he won nomination by splitting Newt, Santorum, Cain, Bachmann votes.
In answer to your question, he wasn’t “known” as an Amnesty candidate. Yet, when all was said & done, he was.
It is OK so long as the duel does not last all the way to the end. Like it did in 2012 between Newt & Ricky.
Why don’t you actually answer my question?
“In which campaign was Reagan known as an amnesty candidate?”
That would go to your post 105 of course.
In other words yor claim was wrong.
Too early to reach that conclusion. Senator Cruz is not topping all the polls, yet. Actually he is topping almost no polls so far. But that could change after the debates. Can we at least wait until the 1st debate is over before casting our preference in concrete?
Refer to #108. Not guilty . . .
So 108 is an apology.
How exactly is my claim wrong?
I’m sure the fellow Freeper to whom the post was directed would be aghast as I was, when the legislation passed.
Stop with the semantics and make your point.
You are confusing Reagan signing a bill in his second term as president, with him having been a pro-amnesty candidate somewhere, at some time, in some election.
I don’t know what you are going on about, or why.
Perhaps, Cruz or Walker can fill some hearts, by the primary. Our Country certainly needs a couple of, “run at the solutions, no holds barred”, Men such integrity.
Reagan also admitted he got snookered and it was a mistake. He wouldn’t do iit again. But Bubba Bush and Bubba Rubio sure want to.
A good start. Lets hope none of the real candidates left agree to do the "idiots on parade" type of cattle-call/"debate" the media love so much.
Hardens Hollow’s post stated:
“I will never vote for a pro-amnesty candidate.”
Well, if you voted for Reagan in the 2nd term, like it or not you did! You may have been caught with your unawares down, yet ultimately you voted for a president who caved over Amnesty.
HH, I apologize. I new that little factoid would rankle garments, yet I posted it anyway . . .
