Grafton County Republicans have announced that US Senator Ted Cruz of Texas will be the keynote speaker at the Annual Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner on Sunday, March 15 at the Indian Head Resort in Lincoln.
Bruce Perlo, Grafton County Republican Chairman, said that he, and fellow Republicans, are delighted that Senator Cruz accepted their invitation to speak . "This will be an incredible evening for voters to listen to one of our country's leading conservative voices."
Senator Cruz is widely seen as a top-contender for the Republican nomination for President in 2016 if he chooses to run.
In 2012, Ted Cruz was elected as the 34th U.S. Senator from Texas.
Propelled by tens of thousands of grassroots activists across Texas, Ted's election has been described by the Washington Post as "the biggest upset of 2012 . . . a true grassroots victory against very long odds."
National Review has described Ted as "a great Reaganite hope," columnist George Will has described him as "as good as it gets," and the National Federation of Independent Business characterized his election as "critical to the small-business owners in [Texas, and], also to protecting free enterprise across America."
Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner. For reservations contact Bruce at 823-5578 Ext 1012 bsp@bmsi-fund.com or Peter at 254- 9791 vicechair@graftongop.org
I hope Reagan’s twin Walker goes. He certainly deserves to be there. Cruz should go to....the more those two converse with each other the better. Walker should start explaining to Cruz what his job as VP will be in Walker’s Administration. Also this will be a perfect opportunity to sit down with Cruz and lay out the expectations and tasks that Walker will be giving to him to complete within the first one-hundred days as VP. This will also give Walker time to really teach Cruz all the ins and outs that he will need to know to be ready to take the VP position the day of the Inaugural. This could be perfect timing to get the process rolling. No time in wasting what the outcome will be anyway. I am so excited for these two great politicians. Our country is in very good hands. Walker/Cruz 2016.
lol. I was waiting for your response.....always a great response for sure.
You do know it’s 20 months, almost two years, before the election, right? Who was leading in the polls at this point in 2007 or 2011?
Who’s bringing the brownies! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwQwGgIcOZQ
Perhaps I missed it. What State is hosting this event?
LMAO. Yeah, that fits.
Maybe you can sell all of your unopened Walker anointing oil at a deep discount on craigslist next year to a budding massage therapist.
Whether you are Pro or Anti Marijuana legaliztion, it’s immaterial. It will be legalized, packaged and taxed someday just like cigarettes. I don’t do it and never have. I didn’t even know what the stuff smelled like until I was 30 years old. But, it’s no use wasting time trying to stop the inevitable. And, FWIW, I think alcohol (which is legal) is a greater societal menace than Pot.
What State is hosting this event?
***********
Lincoln Day events are being held in various states across the nation on various dates.
Ted Cruz spoke at another one back in Feb. in Duval Coutny Fl.
LOL
The link is from Red Hampshire.
New Hampshire
And I think Cruz will be telling Walker what support he expects from Wisconsin in a Cruz administration.
Starting with not perennially voting Democrat, for starters!
Obama carried Wisconsin by 7 points in 2012 with Ryan on the ballot.
This particular Lincoln is in Red Hampshire, up in White Mountains territory...it will be interesting to see the crowd reaction to Ted Cruz in an area that may not be as leftist as the rest of the state.
So, it’s in New Hampshire; ok, thanks folks. Yeah; I’m aware that the GOP in every State has the Lincoln Day Dinners; I just didn’t know in which State this particular one was. Sometimes posters assume that we know everything they know about their post. I did read, in another Post, where one GOP “fat cat” in NH was hosting an in-home fundraiser for Jebbie. He made the statement that Ted Cruz would NEVER darken his front porch. He went on to excoriate Ted as “everything that is wrong” with the GOP....a “bomb thrower”.....and in so many words called Ted a media whore. I don’t see anyone but Jeb Bush carrying the New England States in the Primaries; only to get his butt handed to him in the General Election.
