Here’s The Spot Landrieu And The Louisiana Democrat Party Are Running On Black Radio…

…courtesy of our friend Rick Shaftan, who is cataloguing the demagoguery on the airwaves this cycle.

(AUDIO/VIDEO-AT-LINK)

The ad says the stock market was at an “all-time low” before Barack Obama took over as president, among other things.

It’s worth commenting that this ad isn’t running in a broader market, where the ridiculous claims and hyperbolic tone would engender a more negative reaction. Landrieu’s campaign doesn’t want that kind of scrutiny.

We can expect a good deal more of this, as it’s the calling card of Landrieu’s campaign boss Ryan Berni. Berni had this to say to Gannett after Sarah Palin campaigned with Bill Cassidy at a Republican unity rally in Monroe…

"Maness’ ability to get 14 percent of the vote shows how “unimpressed conservatives were with Bill Cassidy,” said Ryan Berni, Landrieu’s campaign manager.

“They can certainly bring all the national Republicans that they want to into this race, but Bill Cassidy will not be able to hide from his record here,” Berni said. “We’re going to certainly drive that home.”

Of course, Cassidy wasn’t elected to Congress until 2008 so the claims made about how terrible the Republicans were before Obama took office (strangely, it doesn’t note that there was a Democrat-controlled Congress in the last two years of George W. Bush’s presidency) don’t particularly reflect Cassidy’s record. Rather, it sounds like Berni is full of BS and is happily Grubering the electorate.

In other words, it’s a typical Democrat campaign. The polls show those don’t work in statewide elections around here anymore.

The more accurate radio spot would be: Minority citizens of Lousiana ... Democrats have kept you subservient for years. The New Deal, Great Society, and decades of welfare have kept you poor, uneducated, dependent on government. We’ve created “The Hood” where drugs and crime are rampant. Obama has engineered high black unemployment and no relief for your miserable life style. Vote for me if you want to continue this wonderful situation that I’ve helped provide.”

Here’s Mary doing the “wobble” back in October. It didn’t do much good except for making her look like an idiot.

I wonder if she owns the whole thing?

**********

They purchase the lot and had the house built. It is a single family home with
something over 7,000 sq.ft. You can find some info in the net about it.

This was a party sponsored ad? Ten pounds of manure in an 5 pound bag. Setting aside the accuracy of the text, a typical listener is going to zone out 20 seconds in. No recorded sound bites from Cassidy? Just a fast talker with a not particularly engaging voice? Not even a recommendation from Obama himself?

Poor production values. They are mailing it in.

Is this like the TV ad the Republican Party leadership ran in Mississippi calling Tea Party conservatives KKK lovers?
