Romney Loyalists Hyping Comeback: 'Republicans Are Dying to Be Associated with Him'
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | August 3, 2014 | Tony Lee

Mitt Romney loyalists are trying to gin up the narrative that Republicans just can't get enough of Romney.

“Democrats don’t want to be associated with Barack Obama right now, but Republicans are dying to be associated with Mitt Romney,” Spencer Zwick, "a longtime Romney confidant who chaired his national finance council," claimed to the Washington Post. The Chamber of Commerce, which has vowed to wage war on the Tea Party and push through amnesty legislation, glowingly praised Romney, alleging he would be in a "commanding position" if he entered the 2016 race.

Romney is reportedly set to make trips to West Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Colorado, and Virginia to campaign for Republicans. Yet besides the media, most of the people clamoring for another Romney "comeback" are his loyalists and closest advisers, who defied all statistical models to lose an election many thought should never have been lost.

In a July article for Politico Magazine, Emil Henry, who "served in multiple roles in the 2012 campaign, including adviser to the economic team, television surrogate and fundraiser," laughingly alleged that "Romney is re-emerging as the de facto leader of the Republican Party."

Self-described “Fat Democrats.” (Chris Christie?)

(Careful now. You might be marked as one of the “main characters.”)

I should hope so. I've worked hard for it.

Which only goes to show the DEMs and the GOP-E are as one. One agenda for a new government formed from rules derived by corporate interest & global trade unions rather than "We The People" & the Constitution of the United States. We see their shills on Fox News several times a day being passed off as the so called Republican voice such as Rove, McAmnesty, Grahamesty, etc.

Send your checks & your donations to da Revurnds of da church of da New One World Order RINOCRAT Party in care of K St Lobbyist Washington, DC. We'll send you your daily bowl of rations and 1000 more media written reasons daily of why we can not stand up against tyranny. As an extra added bonus you'll receive the 2008 GOP POTUS election essay written by Wee Bee Scruud titled Winning by Loosing & the Democrats are our corporate partners across the aisle. Comes complete with a family portrait of Poppy, Babs, Jebthro, W, and their adopted son/brother Billy Jeff.

Cruz would crush Romney in a poll here.

There is a difference between asserting Romney would not have had the “Destroy America” agenda of Obama, and choosing him over Cruz.

Aw fer cryin out loud, Mitt, stay out.

FR does not have an ignore function, and I don't think I could stand another year of threadjacking by the anti-Mormon endlessly boring repetitive screed crew.

They know who they are - not namechecking as I would then feel obliged to ping them here.

HERE? Pal, Romney lost in a much more important poll in 2012. Granted Obama cheated and Romney would have won had the votes been counted honestly, but as Romney-sycophant Hugh Hewitt likes to say, "they can't cheat if it's not close." Well, enough sensible Americans REJECTED leftist tyrant Romney so it was "close" enough that Obama could win by cheating.

And WE sensible Americans will, God willing, reject Romney AGAIN in 2016 if the jackass again highjacks the Republican nomination.

There was no other choice.

Wrong, FRiend Patriot. There WAS and we took it. We had a choice to REFUSE to vote for tyranny. While you didn't intend it, you voted for turning the Republican party hard left on the guise of voting "against" Obama. That is all and only what you voted FOR; voting "against" is totally imaginary.

Rick Santorum was/is a STATIST who supports government-funded "compassion" and who supports consistently and repeatedly both union interests and the Minimum Wage. You wonder why some people consider that being a "liberal"???

Perhaps because Santorum wears his Christianity on his sleeve you consider him "conservative." Some of us understand that being anti-abortion (like I am) and pro-Christian values, has ZILCH to do with whether or not one is a limited government conservative. Santorum is a big-government Republican. You can vote for that if you want; I will vote for something else.

Simply stated, you support turning the Republican party hard left. That is what you voted for when you voted for Romney. It is all and ONLY what you voted for.

So YES, I consider you a democrat who is registered as a Republican. I am in full agreement with cripplecreek on that.

I hate to say I think Mitt is going to run again. Sadly the GOP leadership will drop Jeb like a hot potato and jump to backing Romney. He can raise $10 million from his rich buddies in a night. He has almost unlimited funds of his own to use. I keep hoping Ann won’t go along with it.

'Romney was last on my list, but I voted for him. There was no other choice. You ‘I’ll show you Repubs for not nominating my guy- I’ll just stay home’ helped put the muzzie in office. There’s no way he could have caused the devastation that Obama has. At least he is an American. I doubt he’ll run again anyway.' Patriot08

'You have no idea how any of us voted in 2012, as we have a secret ballot in this country, for now, at least. Oh, btw, his father was a Mexican, so his being an American is up in the air.' 2ndDivisionVet

With all due respect, Sir, I do know how many on FR voted - or didn't vote. I was here back then and read all the many, many comments like, 'I'll never vote for the RINO. I'll sit this one out and stay home', 'I'll do a write in other than vote for Romney'.

If you look back to 'Romney, 2012' on FR you can see these remarks over and over. (and it's shaping up to be the same deal for '16- 'If so and so isn't on the ballot, I'll stay home'.

As I said, I wasn't happy about Romney being the candidate, but it was him or Obama- and I still say all those who 'sat it out' or did a 'write in' helped put the muzzie in office- and that there's no way Romney could have caused the devastation that the Marxist/Muslim has.

If I had my druthers, I'd like a Cruz/Palin or a Cruz/West, but God help us, we have to vote for the Republican no matter what. Anything is better than Obama or Clinton. That's the sad facts. A no vote or write-in most assuredly helped put the Muzzie in office

We must work harder to see that a real Conservative is on the ballot. How, I don't know. But until then we must vote for the Republic candidate. I realize there is very little difference between Repubs and Demorats today, but anything is better than an Obama or Clinton or other commie rat. Until we manage somehow to get a real Conservative onto the ballot, we have no choice.

Btw, Romney was eligible:

Romney wasn’t very appealing in the first place.

Patriot, FRiend -- I kept a list of names of FReepers who declared they wouldn't vote for Romney. DID YOU? I was extremely surprised at how many FReepers rejected Romney; I believed they didn't represent the majority of American conservatives and Republicans; I was mistaken; they DID and Romney lost because more conservatives agreed with me and 2nd Division Vet, than agreed with you.

Yuu voted for Romney; whether or not you intended it, you voted FOR turning the Republican party hard left. You may have perceived it as voting "against" Obama, but that was a false perception; you ONLY voted FOR turning the Republican party hard left; there was no place on the ballot for you to vote "against."

I voted for Tom Hoefling though I knew full well he wouldn't win. I voted FOR reducing the popular mandate of whatever leftist won, Obama or Romney. I voted FOR keeping the Republican party to the right, I voted FOR rejecting leftism.

You voted FOR embracing tyranny in the Republican party. You intended to be voting for something else, more likely you intended to vote "against" Obama. But when the rubber hit the road, the only thing you voted for was to move the Republican party and the USA hard left.

Do you remember Romney coming out against the GOP pro-life platform, and returning to his pro-abortion position AFTER he won the nomination?

Well, look who showed up. It’s the rotten freeloader who boasts about not donating to the Freepathons because she didn’t get praise for her Romney crush, but says she hopes everyone else will donate to keep it going so she can still come here.

What a damned liberal parasite you are.
