'Romney was last on my list, but I voted for him. There was no other choice. You ‘I’ll show you Repubs for not nominating my guy- I’ll just stay home’ helped put the muzzie in office. There’s no way he could have caused the devastation that Obama has. At least he is an American. I doubt he’ll run again anyway.' Patriot08

'You have no idea how any of us voted in 2012, as we have a secret ballot in this country, for now, at least. Oh, btw, his father was a Mexican, so his being an American is up in the air.' 2ndDivisionVet

With all due respect, Sir, I do know how many on FR voted - or didn't vote. I was here back then and read all the many, many comments like, 'I'll never vote for the RINO. I'll sit this one out and stay home', 'I'll do a write in other than vote for Romney'.

If you look back to 'Romney, 2012' on FR you can see these remarks over and over. (and it's shaping up to be the same deal for '16- 'If so and so isn't on the ballot, I'll stay home'.

As I said, I wasn't happy about Romney being the candidate, but it was him or Obama- and I still say all those who 'sat it out' or did a 'write in' helped put the muzzie in office- and that there's no way Romney could have caused the devastation that the Marxist/Muslim has.

If I had my druthers, I'd like a Cruz/Palin or a Cruz/West, but God help us, we have to vote for the Republican no matter what. Anything is better than Obama or Clinton. That's the sad facts. A no vote or write-in most assuredly helped put the Muzzie in office

We must work harder to see that a real Conservative is on the ballot. How, I don't know. But until then we must vote for the Republic candidate. I realize there is very little difference between Repubs and Demorats today, but anything is better than an Obama or Clinton or other commie rat. Until we manage somehow to get a real Conservative onto the ballot, we have no choice.

Btw, Romney was eligible:

Patriot, FRiend -- I kept a list of names of FReepers who declared they wouldn't vote for Romney. DID YOU? I was extremely surprised at how many FReepers rejected Romney; I believed they didn't represent the majority of American conservatives and Republicans; I was mistaken; they DID and Romney lost because more conservatives agreed with me and 2nd Division Vet, than agreed with you.

Yuu voted for Romney; whether or not you intended it, you voted FOR turning the Republican party hard left. You may have perceived it as voting "against" Obama, but that was a false perception; you ONLY voted FOR turning the Republican party hard left; there was no place on the ballot for you to vote "against."

I voted for Tom Hoefling though I knew full well he wouldn't win. I voted FOR reducing the popular mandate of whatever leftist won, Obama or Romney. I voted FOR keeping the Republican party to the right, I voted FOR rejecting leftism.

You voted FOR embracing tyranny in the Republican party. You intended to be voting for something else, more likely you intended to vote "against" Obama. But when the rubber hit the road, the only thing you voted for was to move the Republican party and the USA hard left.

Do you remember Romney coming out against the GOP pro-life platform, and returning to his pro-abortion position AFTER he won the nomination?
