I hear a variation of this before every election. grrr
Please. The Dems have enough dead, multiple voting, and virtual electronic voters to probably carry a lot of elections. Relying on actual live voters is SO 1980’s.
I imagine Holder and his “DOJ” will sue everyone who tells their DemocRAT friends that DemocRATS are supposed to vote on Wednesday. DemocRATS fall for that every time.
Seems logical.
But consider the war on conservatives that the GOP is ramping up. The GOPe has made it clear they consider us the real enemy. Kentucky is a good example of what a potential disaster they are setting up. McConnell takes out Bevin with his nasty lies and scorched earth tactics and it is very unlikely the conservatives out here are going to vote for him in the general. He’s already behind Grimes as it is.
Just makes me sick.
With Republicans like Boner and McCain, “What difference does it make” if the win or not..?
thats right they LIVE through their icon...their IDOLS...
No Obama... AInt No Thang
lacking a charismatic CHEERLEADER why would they vote.
GOOD CATCH and very inspiring
RE: “Another Reason For GOP Landslide. The Uninformed Will Likely Forget To Vote In November.”
Actually, voter turn out is the ONLY reason the GOP currently holds the House.
For 2014, the Democrats have enough legal eligible voters already in place to easily win the Senate and to easily take a few seats away from the Republicans in the House.
And, since the 2014 GOP election strategy is to deceive, attack, and demoralize Conservatives, that will suppress Conservative turn out even more than it did in 2012, which means the Democrats will pick up a couple more House seats.
I would not do anything to encourage complacency. The Dems beat the Repubs in voter turn out in the last election - and not all of it was the result of conservative apathy. They used lots of good tactics to get their people out to vote. It could very well happen again despite it being a mid-term election. Do I hope it happens - yes, but we can’t count on it.
The dems have taken voting fraud to an art form. They’ll “win”, no matter what’s true.
In Colorado they will be too stoned to vote.
The following comments have been attributed to Democrat political operative James Carville (aka Serpenthead, an appellation given him by his own wife). According to the alleged myth-busting website Snopes, owned and operated by a leftist Canadian husband and wife team who have been often caught shading or ignoring altogether information inimical to their leftist agenda, Carville never said this:
(Begin Carville’s alleged statement.)
“Ideologies aren’t all that important. What’s important is psychology.
The Democratic constituency is just like a herd of cows. All you have to do is lay out enough silage and they come running. That’s why I became an operative working with Democrats. With Democrats all you have to do is make a lot of noise, lay out the hay, and be ready to use the ole cattle prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.
Eighty percent of the people who call themselves Democrats don’t have a clue as to political reality.
What amazes me is that you could take a group of people who are hard workers and convince them that they should support social programs that were the exact opposite of their own personal convictions. Put a little fear here and there and you can get people to vote any way you want.
The voter is basically dumb and lazy. The reason I became a Democratic operative instead of a Republican was because there were more Democrats that didn’t have a clue than there were Republicans.
Truth is relative. Truth is what you can make the voter believe is the truth. If you’re smart enough, truth is what you make the voter think it is. That’s why I’m a Democrat. I can make the Democratic voters think whatever I want them to.”
(End of Carville’s alleged statement.)
My point in bringing this to your attention?
Whether Carville said these things or not is completely irrelevant. The fact is that we are living in the midst of an era in which a distressing portion of the Democrat electorate is proving those words accurate beyond any question or doubt.
And that begs the most important questions we will ever ask: Will America the admittedly imperfect IDEA the Founders sought to leave us survive this very dangerous era? And will it survive long enough for some of us to continue improving this fragile experiment in the freest and most productive system in the history of the world or will we allow those whose only goal is to accrete and wield power by any and all means to destroy it and replace it with a system that has failed each and every time it has been attempted?
Each time I deal with this topic, the words of the perspicacious Baltimore journalist back when journalism was still an honorable profession Henry Louis Mencken come to mind: The urge to save humanity is most often a false front for the urge to RULE!
If we fail to correctly answer those questions in the next national elections, God help us.
But then, since we kicked Him to the curb decades ago, why would He?
Looks like we’re on our own and we probably only have one or two more chances to get it right!
They have cried wolf too may times. I will wait until the votes have been counted.
