BRIDGEPORT, Ohio To look at Ohio is to glimpse America in a nutshell a state full of places where laborers, truck drivers, cooks, store clerks and business owners form the backbone of small-town life. Places where the deli cashes checks, cars and trucks are vehicles and the NFL takes a back seat to high-school football.
It also is a place where presidents are made. No candidate has won without Ohios 18 electoral votes since John F. Kennedy in 1960. Barack Obama won here in 2008 by about 260,000 votes, 52 percent to 47 percent.
Thats why Ohios white, working-class voters have taken center stage in the election...

Bridgeport is in the heart of Coal Country, across the river from Wheeling, WV. Obama’s War on Coal has won him very few friends there.
They want to appear ‘cool’. End of story.
A white socialist or a partly white socialist. What a choice.
Growth higher in red states than blue, swing states
The income of those living in red states has climbed 4.6% since the recession began in December 2007, a USA TODAY analysis of total increases found. The average income of those living in blue states and swing states saw a much slower increase. The personal income of blue states has increased 0.5%, while in the swing states, income increased 1.4%.
Right there is what ALL voters should want. A growing prosperous economy not the Obama economy of perpetual stagnation
To uphold and defend the Constitution.
Sadly no candidate/President in the past 20 plus years has done so.
They want to call a fag a fag without getting arrested.
They want schools to stop teaching little children that the "fag way" is good.
They want the money they earned to be taxed fairly so they're not paying the way for 10 lazy folks.
They want the government to stop lying...as in the Stevens MURDER.
They want the government to stop pandering to women like Fluke, to Muslims around the world.
I'm disgusted. Obama and his minions are disgusting.
I work not far from Bridgeport. I’ve only seen two zero signs, but there are many “Stop the War on Coal, Fire Obama” signs. A LOT of them.
OHIOIANS WANT JOBS THAT PAY. THEY WANT TO BE ABLE TO WORK, PAY THEIR BILLS AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR FAMILIES. OHIOANS WANT LESS GOVERNMENT AND LESS TAXES. I THINK THE QUESTION DIDN’T HAVE TO BE ADDRESSED TO JUST OHIOIANS.
Great list!
This white Ohio voter wants to see: a hard money policy, a decreased federal government “footprint”, decreased federal taxes, decreased federal meddling in state affairs, respect for the constitution, and a strong foreign policy that doesn’t necessarily involve multiple full scale wars.
This could be anytown USA for the press to describe it like this is meaningless I'm a life long Ohioan i grew up in these little towns and burbs it's been like this forever the real tragedy is the influx of liberal and socialist voters come election time and unions who would rather look after their pocket books than their employees
We finally got a Gov that understands the middle class and the people who make a society work and they do everything in this state and in government to fight him tooth and nail !
My sister lives in Ohio and she is a bit pessimistic about Romney’s chances. She believes that the import of 100,000 Somali’s, busing Mexicans and blacks to the polls, the lengthened period within which to vote, and the usual fraud will swing the state to “The Divine One.”
