The buzz is that Ann Romney's speech was off the charts and that Chris Christie's speech was moderately good but didn't have the red meat people wanted. I tend to disagree. Christie's speech was fantastic but in a much more subtle way. He showed the stark differences. Thoughts?

So anytime a Mormon says she has a good marriage or a real life marriage, you actually think you should jump up with a religion lesson to put her down?
Jews believe they and they alone are God’s chosen people. Are you able to listen to a Jew talk without a similar response?
Catholics believe they have the one holy apostolic church. Can Catholics talk about their lives without upsetting you?

I turn the sound off, or change the Channel when Christe speaks, just as I do when Obama speaks. Christie’ budget balancing is the same kind of gimmicks both parties have been doing in this state for decades. His reforma a less than half of whet they seem.
I will give him credit for, like Obama, from day i in office having the best PR and self promo team working for him.

Temple worthy mormons get married in a secret ceremony in their temple, where only temple worthy members are allowed to attend. (only 15% of mormons are temple worthy)
Even Mrs. Romney’s parents were not allowed to attend the ceremony.
Before you chide people about their comments about mormonism, you might want to know what you are talking about.

The G.I. Bill is not a giveaway program, you earn that money and also pay in a portion of it, unless you’re a service-connected disabled/wounded veteran, then it is totally “free” (if you consider losing a limb or eyesight no big deal) and I didn’t hear what Mrs. Romney proposed, so I’ll withhold judgement on that.
I don't know where they are on the marriage scales, I know that they were forbidden to witness Ann's "Real Marriage", or even to set foot inside the building.

Yes the rape and incest exceptions for abortion are worthy of serious discussion, but it’s incredible that pro lifers are attacked as murderers because they would permit rape and incest abortions.
Are pregnancies and abortions following incest even a real life issue? It seems almost unheard of.
I thought both Ann and Chris spoke very well TO THEIR ASSIGNED TARGET AUDIENCES.
For better or worse, Romney is running the show his way.
We want red meat and we are served a salad.
We want to be thanked, and we get snubbed.
Politics, Romney style, is now on display.
It is different than the McCain Method, so I give a wait and see to Romney/Ryan, unless they play small ball with their Campaign.
Christy had a short leash, but was dead serious about the TRUTH that we can expect to hear from Romney.

You are ignorant of the Mormon view of marriage. It is central to their theology. You could look it up or you could continue to be ignorant. It’s up to you. I don’t care.
You shouldn’t compare Catholics to Mormons, but you should look up your church’s teachings on Mormonism.
As a disabled veteran (heart disease & related) I know that. I was using examples for those who don’t know what I mean. Please tell me you’re not like some of my East Coast relatives who believe that veterans and retirees are grifters and scum. Yes, I’m serious.

Ann Romney was lovely, and her speech was wonderful. She spoke as a devoted wife, mother, and patriot.
Chris Christie is always fun to watch. He calls them as he sees them and that is what is needed. He is doing a great job in New Jersey.
The Dums will have a hard time topping this. They have nothing to run on, and nothing to try to sell except failure.

I wasn’t comparing the religions, I was comparing the prejudices. Can’t believe you don’t understand that, seems like you’re just spoiling for a fight.
No you don’t care, but I do. The Mormon view of religion is their right, and does not justify attacking a woman because she spoke well of her husband and marriage. To do so displayed YOUR religious bigotry and you seem to think you can justify such absurd behavior by telling people the Mormon policy on marriage. Not sure what barn you learned your manners in but you do not go off on a woman when she says she had a good marriage. That is not Christian behavior.
Well, my dad was a partly disabled vet, I was permanently disabled in a bad parachute jump, but I hid my disability until I left a year later, because the injury was causing a physical deterioration.
I have a friend with my same injury, that collects a princely sum.
Many of my vet friends collect various disability checks.
You don’t always have to be so sensitive about being a vet, lots of us are.
And you continue to display your ignorance of mormonism, while attempting to defend it.
One has to wonder why.
