Why is Glenn Beck lying to destroy Newt?? Glenn has voiced support for Santorum while his actions are pushing Mitt. On his propaganda page the blaze in one day he had 14 hit pieces on Newt, 9 puff pieces on Mitt and 2 stories mentioning Santorum {one of those could be considered negative}. The amount of dishonesty in those articles and his radio show is mind boggling. Glenn is abusing the trust people have placed in him and trying to get the most liberal candidate the nomination.

Newt was surging in Iowa so Glenn went scorched earth and by catching people by surprise, they fell back on their trust for Beck and gave Iowa to Santorum. By the time South Carolina rolled around people were seeing through Beck and Newt won. Going into Fl. Newt pulling ahead and Beck having used up his trust the baton was passed to Drudge and down goes Newt again.

Breitbart was right and we could have saved a lot of grief had we listened to him. Glenn Beck hasn't been telling us what he was for but outright lying and attacking Newt and anyone that backs Newt. Beck is willing to destroy the election process using Alinsky tactics to get Mittens in. We have been had.

My goal isn't to flame but to cause thought. I know Beck has fans and I know he has FOLLOWERS. Followers can't be reasoned with. Man has a need for God and many times and for many reasons people try to deify other men. I suggest they draw closer to the real God.

I can lead you to knowledge but I can't make you think. I hope you take this and carefully consider this post. Accept it or dismiss it, it's cool. I expect some of you will not and will lash out. Let the games begin..

I am sure it will matter but it is sad that it does. That shows a lot of small minded people.
I would not vote for Mitt because he is an admitted progressive and moderate. We need conservative government but I am afraid it is too late. Unfunded liabilities could sink us. (and probably will)
I cannot understand how these democrat party and the left wing of the GOP can support the current policies in the federal gov’t. They know these policies are bad for us long term and continue to divert the attention of the average Americans, with the help of the media ! Very sad.

Beck lost me as a listener when he implied the tea party must be voting for Newt because they are racist. He sees no problem with attacking the person of Newt calling him a dirt bag and aligning himself with Ann Coulter who calls him crazy. I find this vicious and he has caused me to tune out as a result. Whatever his reason for such a vicious attack, it tells me more about the attackers than the one they attack. As for Newt being nefarious (another adjective he used to describe Newt, I think Romney and Ron Paul who he would vote for instead of Newt have far more progressive tendancies and THAT IS WHY BECK IS HAVING A HISSY FIT. EVERYONE SEES THIS IS SO AND IS REJECTING HIS FAULTY AND VICIOUS NONSENSE. Newt went down in Iowa due to attack ads. Not due to Beck. Beck is losing all credibility and good will with his attacks on Newt. The less people listen to him...the more intense he gets and he will only kill his own reputation doing so.

You actually can play one’s own voice - but present it in a way that is indeed a lie. It’s called context, editing, etc. Rush exposed Elliot Abrams, who did the same thing, as a hug liar the other day..

But that’s not my main problem with Beck with regards to Newt. My main problem is that Beck demonstrates zero historical perspective on Newt. While Beck was in his dark period - admittedly useless due to drugs - Newt was helping preserve the Republic with the House take over in the 90’s.

So my beef with Beck is this: Ok Mr. Historian, why not give both sides? Why not look at what Newt has DONE as well as what Newt has SAID. The picture Beck has painted of Newt is totally misleading - and that is what we call “a lie.”
