John Kasich for Newt's VP
Vanity | 1/19/2012 | BizHvyWt

Posted on 01/19/2012 10:21:07 AM PST by Bizhvywt

I think John Kasich would be a great choice for the Newt's VP. The Governor or Ohio, an important swing state and someone that worked on balancing the budget with Newt in Congress.

This would also lay the groundwork for a conservative successor to 8 years of Newt. We could have 16 years of conservative leadership to undo all the damage the O did in the last 4 years.

DeMint is a Romney man all the way. Why have him involved. The Veep should also come from a place that can help get votes that are at risk. Does anyone think SC is voting for Obummer this cycle?

I like Allen West. But he is a first term Congressman who happens to be black. Is race a reason to chose someone?

West avoids political correctness, right on up there with Newt, and West can’t stand the politics of race either. A win/win.

Let's please not go down the Birther road. The only person in public life I know who might suggest that Marco Rubio was not eligible to be President or Vice-President is Orly Taitz, and the cheese slipped off her cracker a long time ago.

Neither Jindall nor Rubio are Natural Born Citizens.

They cannot run for POTUS or Veep.

Minor v. Happersett in 1875 (Supreme Court of the Untied States) Defined Natural Born as someone being born in the United States to two parents who were it’s citizens. Jindall and Rubio were born to parents who were immigrants and not yet naturalized. They were not yet citizens. These two men may be citizens, but they are NOT NBC’s qualified for POTUS. Do NOT make the Obama Blunder again on OUR side!!!!

“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.” Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 168.”

Minor has NEVER been overturned, it has been cited literally dozens of times over 136 years.

STOP floating constitutionally unqualified candidates!!!!!!

“is Mitt a Natural Born Citizen?”

Yes, he is. His father was not a Natural Born Citizen as he was born in a foreign country (Mexico).

DeMint

Don't take any conservatives out of the Senate. They are a rare and precious commodity and the Senate will be by far the biggest obstacle to unwinding the statism of Washington. If you ever want to see whole government programs go away you will need every single conservative vote in the Senate, and some serious blackmail material to boot.

“Let’s please not go down the Birther road.”

I’m sorry, but adhering to the Constitution is not a “road”, it’s the law of the land.

Jindal and Rubio are ineligible, unless we ignore the Constitution.

NO NO NO NO NO.

Neither man is constitutionally qualified for POTUS.

Both men were born to immigrants who WERE NOT CITIZENS OF THIS NATION. Minor v Happersett 1875 decided and defined “Natural Born Citizen” as a person born in country to TWO parents who were its CITIZENS. This SCOTUS case has never been overturned, was a unanimous decision, and has been cited to dozens and dozens of times over 136 years. Obama is an usurper because of this. So too would Jindall and Rubio!!

NO MORE UNCONSTITUTIONAL POTUS’s!

Like it or not, neither man should EVER present themselves as candidates for POTUS or Veep.

Rubio is NOT constitutionally qualified for the Office of POTUS.

Get over Rubio and Jindall, neither man can ever run for the office, no matter how shiny their conservative creds. They aren’t constitutionally qualified.

Minor v Happersett decided and defined what a Natural Born Citizen is:

“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.” Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 168.”

Well, if he is nominated, I doubt it would be an issue then. It will be fun to watch the process.

It ain’t a BIRTHER issue Andy. Get up to speed, it is a CONSTITUTIONAL ONE. One SCOTUS has already dealt with in Minor v. Happersett 1875.

““The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. 162, 168.”

Stop being a snarky bither-baiter and recognize that this is the real issue - the constitution and SCOTUS Decisions STILL in force today! Obama did a BRILLIANT job in distracting the simple minded with the birth certificate issue which is IRRELEVANT. The cretin admits he isn’t an NBC by stating in the open that he was born under the British Nationality Act of 1948.

Now, neither Jindall nor Rubio was born to parents who were CITIZENS. Just like Obama, neither man is a Natural Born Citizen, they inherited the citizenship of their parents at birth. To be an NBC you can be born with only one possible citizenship and that REQUIRES that both parents be citizens of this country and be born here.

This is KNOWN now. Give up on Rubio and Jindall, they are constitutional DEAD ENDS. They cannot ever qualify for POTUS.
