One of the big stories surrounding Tuesdays New Hampshire primary was the use of populist attacks against former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. Leading the charge against Romney and labeling him a vulture capitalist are former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Tuesday evening that Romneys win was not a real earth-shattering result.
I think Ron Pauls showing was a bit more of a surprise and then I think people are having tuned in to his speech about free markets and capitalism, she said. I think hes going to shift a little bit of the debate going forward in the next couple of days, away from sort of an anti-capitalist mantra that weve been hearing the last two days into what it is the GOP really represents with free markets.
However, the 2008 vice presidential nominee said she didnt blame Gingrich and others for critiquing Romneys leadership of Bain Capital, especially considering tough attacks launched by Romney against Gingrich in Iowa.
This isnt bean bag, she said. I dont blame Newt Gingrich and others who had come out on offense swinging against the front-runner because they had just faced millions and millions of dollars in attack ads in Iowa. And theyd just come off that there.

Palin added that she didnt see anyone dropping out after the New Hampshire results, and said it would be on to South Carolina and possibly Florida for all the candidates.
All of them have money in the coffers, she said. So, financially speaking none of them will be forced to drop out at this point, whereas Michele Bachmann was a different story when her money started drying up.
And Sarah knows about the attack machine.
I think hes [Paul’s] going to shift a little bit of the debate going forward in the next couple of days, away from sort of an anti-capitalist mantra that weve been hearing the last two days into what it is the GOP really represents with free markets.
Say what, Sarahcuda?
newt is dragging Palin down with him into oblivion.
This isnt bean bag,
Newts exact words about attacking Newt in Iowa.
But everybody said Newt was mean and angry.I love mean and angry.
Sarah’s going Paul on us?
Sometimes I think the entire party has gone Paul on us.
You’re wrong. It will be romney dragging us down a rathole. The only difference between romey and obama is skin pigment and that is it.
Well, then let’s just all buy each other artisan glass-swirled pipes for our weed and be done with this ridiculous United States Experiment.
I, for one, have the perfect locale for doing nothing but getting high and penciling in Occupy parties for the next four years.
HURL! HURL!
This is a clear mowdown of both Newt and Perry.
Or she just thinks Paul will become a diversion from that firestorm.
I babble talk.
Where is this utopia?
LOL
Judge Napolitano endorsed with bells on Ron Paul on Jon Stewart tonight.
Bizzare.
It’s babble talk.
I get the impression she is either slamming Newt or telling him to tone it down with the economic attack on Mittens. She says she understands Newts position, but the section about how Paul is going to focus things back on track tells me she thinks things are off track now.
I would agree with that, and I predict Newt will reign it in while Perry doubles down
Leaving Perry holding the bag for attacks Newt originated.
We shall see.
Anyone who understands how hostile takeovers work, please explain. Also, do you know if Bain was into hostile takeovers. I think probably so--at least some.
Mitt isn't it for me, and not for his money and flip flops, either. He just comes across as passionless, uncommitted, and awkward. I also resent his being pushed by Rove, Foxers, Coulter, etc. On the other hand, Paul could NOT win. He comes across whiney and looney in spite of his fiscal frugality--Kucinich??? Looney!.
vaudine
It’ll take mean and angry to defeat the Marxist/Muslim.
Newt’s right. The others are too timid.
