Some people in the Republican Party want to follow John McCains policy of not going after Obama personally:
"Republicans on a private Republican National Committee conference call with allies warned Tuesday that party surrogates should refrain from personal attacks against President Barack Obama, because such a strategy is too hazardous for the GOP.
Were hesitant to jump on board with heavy attacks personally against President Obama, Nicholas Thompson, the vice president of polling firm the Tarrance Group, said on the call. Theres a lot of people who feel sorry for him.
Heres Michael Walshs response at NRO:
"I took some grief on the recent NR cruise by telling the group that I thought Mitt Romney would lose to Barack Obama rather handily. That for some mysterious reason Obama continues to have relatively strong personal-approval numbers and a substantial, reliable base, which Romney doesnt. As a typical standard-issue Republican, Romney wouldnt have the heart or the courage to take the fight to the president, but instead would debate around the edges, and lose
Gee, if Obamas personal-approval numbers are still high, why would you want to take them down? Let them stay there, lest the Democrat-Media Complex accuse you of being a blue meanie.
Remember, GOP: principles, not policies. Principles, not policies. Principles, not policies.
Its not Obamas policies that are the problem, its Obama and everything he represents and stands for. Engage the president on the deepest, most potent level, or join John McCain and Bob Dole on the ash heap of history."
Really, this party is too dumb to live.
Im still formulating a response. Just as soon as I can calm down.
You’re absolutely right, we’ll get the government we deserve!
It’s what we are going to get.
Only thing we can hope for is to control the bleeding.
I can’t get excited to vote for ANY of the pubs running. Matter of fact, I dislike them all.
I am not a purist. I just want 80% on my core issues. I can’t even get that from the top 3.
You don’t need to go after him.
Obama has given everything you need through his record.
You can hit him with everything you got through that.
Rush was on fire today for exactly the same reasons this author is so incensed. Personally, the GOP candidate who comes out and buries Ubama under an avalanche of “incompetent, corrupt, communist piece of sh!+” gets my vote. Any GOP candidate who wants to be “concilliatory Mr. Nice Guy” can drop dead.
OK, in fairness, perhaps we won’t go personally go after Obama any harder than Axlerod and the harpies went after Cain. ;)
“Really, this party is too dumb to live.”
Yep, what I’ve thought all along! It is probably past time for a third party and retire these inside beltway professionals. They are nothing more than part of the scrambling beavers trying to get a piece of the economic pie.
All politicians seems to be more interested in making money and controlling power rather that actually doing anything decent for society.
Term Limits! The only thing that can stop their madness.
No Lobbyists! No elected politician may perform as a lobbyist. All lobbyists must pay an exorbitant tax for their services (60% surtax).
No Pensions! Without these benefits, the political class would collapse. All politicians salary will be subject to a 60% surtax.
If you actually want to help America - step up and show us!
Who felt sorry for Jimmuh in 1980? Rabbits don't count.
This is what comes of “big tent” politics - a lot of wishy-washy dolts end up running things by being “nice guys” instead of being run off where they belong - the Dems.
If the GOP became a truly conservative party it's the Dems who would splinter - the loony fringe would split off to become Greenies or Reds or Mauves or whatever and the Dems would be a party run by adults again.
Time for a third party? Hell I’d be happy with a second one.
The only rational strategy to defeat The Won is to support him! /s
"The White House will be my scheduler, and wherever the president goes, I will show up four hours later to respond to his speech," the Republican presidential candidate said wryly on a recent visit to Iowa.
Seemingly in unison, the 500 Iowa Republicans crowded into the banquet hall rose from their seats applauding, for there he was - the tested antagonist that Republicans here have been craving to go toe to toe with the Democratic incumbent.
Heh! Well put!
I appreciate that point of view, that of not making personal attacks.
I also appreciate my own point of view, which is, criticizing that anti-American Kenyan-born jihadist Muzzie serving illegally while embezzling for himself and Holder’s people is NOT the same thing as a personal attack.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Amen.

I am with you, but it has been established that Americans can not go after him on any of those points.
You are immediately labeled as racist/bigotist/homophobe...you name it.
In other words, America is screwed.
I have no desire or intention to return.
It’s thinking like this that caused me to leave the party quite a number of years ago.
I hope you and your wife are doing well. You’re still in my prayers.
Bump that, and + to infinity!
I’m just crossing my fingers that I get to keep my feet.
I know...your feet are in my prayers.
I like to be specific. ;o)
No we don’t. These people are the reason we have Obama. Get rid of them.
