Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has started a direct mail campaign to start filling up the coffers of SarahPAC, according to the Washington Post. This move has stoked speculation about Palin's 2012 plans.
400,000 copies of a mailer were sent out to potential donors. The wording of the document does not address any of Palin's specific plans for 2012 one way or the other. "Taking back control of the House last year was only the first step, Now you and I must fix our eyes on 2012. Our goal is to take back the White House and the Senate."
By one definition, this suggests that Palin's plans are much the same as they were for 2010: to be a kingmaker, and influence the outcomes of various House, Senate, and gubernatorial elections. However, the way the mailing was worded does not mean that Palin is not running for president.
Indeed, recent developments would suggest that Palin's opportunities to run for president have widened. Both Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump have declined to run for president. Huckabee's refusal frees up a host of social conservative voters who will now be up for grabs. Trump's absence will mean that oxygen will not be sucked away from other candidates with a more serious approach to running for president. A hole has been wrought quite wide enough for Palin to enter the race and become a front runner, with some considerable effort and luck.....

A waste of her executive talent, her proven do-what-you-said-you-would-do approach to office, and the absolute correctness of her world vision.
Why would we settle for allowing the best presidential candidate in a century to be an energy secretary?

The jailing of corrupt politicians likely has some of the resident pols shaking in their Guccis.
Still, this is celebrity stuff. The question is: how much money will she be able to raise if she jumps in. Same with Cain. Right now, the two are about on the same financial footing. We see that then Republican Establishment prefers mediocre candidates who can be controlled. It terrifies them to think of a candidate out of control.
Leave it to a Class of ‘98 member to talk some sense to the PDS sufferers here.

I think she’s going to run. She’s appearing on Hannity’s tomorrow night, and the Fox Promo says that she’s going to “assess the field of candidates.”
The proper wording is "half term governor."
The only noticeable 'half' making a fool of itself is the half of your brain attempting to come across as a full thinker.

Someone said that July 4th might be Sarah’s big announcement date in another thread. That would be perfect imho. It’s too depressing to even contemplate her NOT running at this point. Our GOP field (so far) is not ready for prime time or anytime for that matter...lol. I love Herman Cain, but truly don’t think he has the name recognition at this point to go up against Zero. Sarah is the only one that has a shot.
What are the so called moderates going to do if she gets the nomination...hand Zero another 4 years? I don’t think so...not if they love this country. For decades, conservatives have had to hold their noses and vote for less than desirable candidates on the GOP ticket because we knew what was at stake when all was said and done. It’s time for the rinos and so called moderates to be called on to do the right thing and enthusiastically support and vote for Sarah if she runs.
God knows we conservatives have done ‘the right thing’ time and time again!!
