On March 14th 2011, President Obama began a series of 5 National Security Council meetings to develop options for capturing or killing Osama Bin Laden. 30 days and 4 NSC meettings later, it was time for Obama to make a decision. After going around the room seeking everyone's views, debating COAs (Courses of Action) and contingencies accross the board, Obama decided to proceed with the operation.

And what is so special about that?
Too bad he didn’t get sound advice about the economy and bribing the government unions with trillions in stimulous.
So why do we need a Obama? He wasn't instrumental in any of this and in fact, tried to undermine the very things that gave us the desired result—the end of Bin Ladin!
Check your title!
Wow. A President held a series of NSA meetings to discuss how to proceed with the kill/capture of the world’s most wanted person and an international terrorist. What a brave and incredible man we have in the White House.
Can the left name any past president or any candidate who would not have done the exact same thing? I even give Clinton a pass on this one, because post 9/11 I am certain he would have acted differently than he did in the ‘90s.
Giving Obama credit for this and trashing Bush is like giving Nixon credit for the moon landing and complaining that JFK and LBJ didn’t get the job done.
Thanks but no thanks. It’s one thing to say they both deserve credit, but seriously?
Sorry, RINO, Bush’s long-term policy isolated OBL, made him irrelevant, and set in place all the procedures and practices that Zero agreed to. CANDIDATE Obama utterly rejected all of these.
Sure, but imagine if Obama had followed up on his campaign promise of closing GITMO and the rendition sites... no interrogation, no intel. No intel, no Osama.
Bush laid the groundwork. Obama used the tools Bush left him to take advantage of an opportunity.
HAS ANYBODY READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE?
Only he didn’t make the decision. Gates and Clinton went over his head and he claimed the credit.
I read it.
It gives credit to Bush up to the very last minute decision.
That’s about right.
Somebody threatened to expose him. Most likely Gates because he is the one most definitely on the way out.
Bush was faced with an OBL who was still very powerful and in much better health, a much harder target. Obama bin Laden was faced with a man in very poor and getting worse health and with only a fraction of the power and control he had 10 years ago. He was also under the impression that he could hide in plain sight. A much easier target.
Sorry Barry, you shot a fish in a barrel. W was faced with trying to hit a very fast moving target.
No Obama’s Presidency will be judged on how he deals with future attacks on America and her interest. To totally dismiss the persistence of the terrorists is ignorant. We must not our guard down and I don’t think Obama has what is needed to stand tough like President Bush did.
But its excerpted, so most people won't read beyond that paragraph.
Post the whole thing if you actually want people to read it.
“Sorry Bush, Obama’s decision got Osama, but thank you for the countless, unpopular decisions you made that gave him such an unprecedented opportunity.”
Gave you a hit to verify that it’s snark, but you’re really paying with fire with that title and excerpt. Surprised you haven’t gotten an IBTZ based just on that. You’re getting some heat, though.
You might want to ask the mods to add a “(sarcasm)” tag to your title, or it’s going to get hot in here...
