He didn't mention her name, but in brief remarks at the Los Angeles Press Club's annual awards gala on Sunday night, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger swiped at Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, calling her proposal to eliminate 40,000 state worker positions "bogus talk" and praising journalists for asking where those cuts would be made.

Arnold couldn’t find anywhere to cut, so why should he believe Whitman can? Arnold also knows that California must not cut important green programs that will save the world from global climate warming change and provide millions of “green” jobs for Californians. Additionally, embryonic stem cell research MUST continue with a blank check until it yields something useful, which it very possibly might sometime in the future. Arnold is very smart, and he has his priorities in order.
