It's probably no secret to anyone who reads my column regularly that I will not be voting for either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton for president.
But I also will not be voting for John McCain.
I could tell you all the reasons and have expressed them already in a number of columns in recent months. But this time, I'll let someone with whom I seldom agree express them for me.
His name is Jonathan Chait, a senior editor at The New Republic. Here's what he wrote in that magazine:
"Even though it is in the public record, McCain's voting behavior during Bush's first term is almost never mentioned in the press anymore. Yet McCain's secret history is simply astonishing. It is no exaggeration to say that, during this crucial period, McCain was the most effective advocate of the Democratic agenda in Washington.

I have some more "silly" questions for someone who butts into a fight that is not theirs.
You are wrong about that.
The soul of the GOP is every conservatives fight.
You are acting out of fear of the Democrats, we are acting out of fear of John McCain destroying the conservative nature of our party, the party itself, and by extension, our country.
You are short-sighted in your efforts, we are taking the long view.

I think she can fight her own battles.Without a doubt. It can't be that hard when the response is an emotional rant without substantive content.

PA Engineer obviously doesn't know me, nor my posts. Apparently not even though you have been posting on this for some time. It would seem this old time poster also missed my links post that I posted a thousand times or more beginning in Nov. 2006. Having neglected her chance to be a responsible voter/citizen when the opportunity was there the only thing left seems to be a slash and burn campaign against those who did. I guess misery does love company.

My best friend is a Marine LRRP with pre-Vietnam SEA experience. He has no use for McCain. Nor does our Nam tank corps vet friend. This board is loaded with vets of all eras who don’t.

You have got a lot of nerve. Did you ever provide the link you promised on numerous other threads that "McCain Leaked top-secret information concerning CIA prisons in Europe". Can you provide that link since you fled every other thread you were nailed on?
By the way your posting history is very well known to other Freepers here and not just your amen choir.

If you had truly checked out my posting history you would have found that I was first focused on stopping Rudy, then the Huckster, and now the last RINO, Liberal crud of a candidate McAmnesty.
Interspersed among that was posting on Religion threads.
You admit to having a history of disenfranchising the Republican vote on FR. This one is a keeper.

This article pretty well sums it up. I will be joining Farah this time.
It will be those that accept McCain as a candidate who will be electing Obama.

In your case that is the destruction of the Republican party in the ushering in of Obama. There is no other outcome. I wish you and your gang would answer that one question. The only result of your self righteous behavior is a victory for Obama and the loss of the SC for a generation. The Democrats will control all facets of the government because of you and the rest. Non of you can deny this. Non of you have denied this. You can't and neither can they.

I find it absolutely breathtaking that McCain cheerleaders call conservatives trolls on FR.
It wasn’t too long ago that JR wrote that scathing piece about Juan.
Anyone who would get behind McCain, lined up from the left because that is where McCain will take us, killing conservatism for many years, if not forever.

Yeah you’re right, some folks are stuck on stupid.
Continuing to vote the same way year after year expecting a different outcome is as stupid as a person can get.

I will not vote for any of the three candidates. If GOP nominates McCain, it indicates we have a one party system. The Democrats did us a favor and nominated their weakest candidate Kerry last time. Now GOP appears to return the favor and nominate a left-wing Democrat. Those two are so similar McCain was considered - or asked to be considered - VP for Kerry.

Thank you for posting that link. Something that is little known about that is, he was in cahoots with J F’in when they ramrodded normalized relations with North Vietnam before a full accounting of the POW’s and MIA’s were made. At least that’s my recollection.

I am convinced now that you are a DU troll.
I'm convinced that you're educated way beyond your intelligence. Blackbird.

Obama is the default POTUS because of idiots like you. You have no other effective options to propose. By the way the CU rating in 2006 for McCain was 60. Pretty sad until you compare it to Obama at “8”. You don’t have to worry about being educated beyond your intelligence. You have to have some sort of intelligence to start with.
