It's probably no secret to anyone who reads my column regularly that I will not be voting for either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton for president.
But I also will not be voting for John McCain.
I could tell you all the reasons and have expressed them already in a number of columns in recent months. But this time, I'll let someone with whom I seldom agree express them for me.
His name is Jonathan Chait, a senior editor at The New Republic. Here's what he wrote in that magazine:
"Even though it is in the public record, McCain's voting behavior during Bush's first term is almost never mentioned in the press anymore. Yet McCain's secret history is simply astonishing. It is no exaggeration to say that, during this crucial period, McCain was the most effective advocate of the Democratic agenda in Washington.

I do. I read every post of yours on this thread and saw nothing compelling. You on the other hand, just gave a knee jerk insult and didn’t read the links I provided to you. You have arrogantly dismissed every reason folks gave you for not voting for McCain, instead trying to paint them as plants. If that’s all ya got, so be it.

Every single point Joe Farah made in his article is right on the money. I’m no fan of Joseph Farah either but truth is truth.

To answer one of your questions above, if McCain is defeated there is a possibility that the GOP MIGHT become more conservative. If he is elected, there is no chance of that, unless he names a hard right VP candidate. It will be very difficult to have to start a new conservative party to replace the GOP.
I am still leaning towards voting for McCain if Florida is in play, despite his global warming nonsense today. If he does name a conservative VP it is more likely that I will vote for him.
By the way, does ANYBODY know where the Freeper Polls went?

Thanks for the link. The two guys who taught me how to do things in the backwoods are Nam Vets, both LRRP(?) (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol). I would trust those guys with anything, and will take their word over anybody. They were pissed as can be at McCain.

Try again. I don't spam anything. Every post is written individually.I try to do that, though for html intensive stuff (like the one I did here), individual creation is a PIA.
I keep quote lists that I can copy/paste from, and so far, eight templated pieces, four of which are no longer very useful, as the candidates are no longer running...

Funny coming from you. You entire posting history since your sign up in 2007 is anti-McCain. Conservatives are not for McCain, they are against Obama. Your entire posting history after scrolling a couple pages of your posts is to convince Repulicans not to vote this election. Now why would a newbie like yourself want Obama to win the election?
And you are liar.
If you had truly checked out my posting history you would have found that I was first focused on stopping Rudy, then the Huckster, and now the last RINO, Liberal crud of a candidate McAmnesty.
Interspersed among that was posting on Religion threads.
As with many McCainiacs, false accusations seem to be the approach du jour!
Further more, As to this lie:
Your entire posting history after scrolling a couple pages of your posts is to convince Repulicans not to vote this election. Now why would a newbie like yourself want Obama to win the election?
You are lying again, because my whole approach is to convince Republicans to not vote for McCain but to vote for all downstream races and that is regulary interspersed in my posting history.
