Not for the first time, and assuredly not for the last, I made a post on Free Republic and got a reaction something like this:
Not undeserved.
I was taking a shot at the United Nations and its employees for considering themselves as "above the law," and not at smokers. Certainly I could have phrased it better.

I was refering to the UN's stated goal of worldwide "control" of small arms and their reference to the US as having an "appalling" number of the worlds supply of those small arms in private hands.
And I couldn't agree more about smoking in the workplace..
I smoke, but I would find it rather difficult to work in a cigarette induced haze.
I don't smoke in my own house because I can't stand the mess and smell.

s-alright...
I understood but couldn't resist the temptation to poke a little fun...
"hack, cough" ... Damn cigs.
I've tried to quit, but it's been hard.
Its been said that nicotine is more addictive than heroin, and I concidered a switch.. After all, the way things are going heroin is probably cheaper
but I just could not face pushing a needle in my arm. ;^)

I can always tell when the "I hate cigarettes and cigarette smokers" VP I report to has had his butt reamed by the cigarette smell in his office. "I own the joint" has confided to me that he does it deliberately just to tick him off.

I understand. I've done the same thing here on FR. :)

Certainly I could have phrased it better. No hard feelings. I've opened mouth, inserted keyboard myself.

I was getting ready to jump all over you. Good thing I try to read most of the posts on a thread before I, "Open mouth, insert size 9".

"Being 39 years old plus tax and tip, I sure do remember that. Plus, "Not a cough in a carload" hah." LOL. My granddad said LSMFT could also mean: "Lord Save Me From Truman."
