Once we cross the border into legalized multiple parenthood, we have virtually arrived at the abolition of marriage and the family. No -- we should look at the positive side of this. Once we cross the border into legalized multiple marriages, then Social Security is finished because "survivor benefits" will last in perpetuity. Every elderly person in the nation will "get married" to their grandchildren, and the Social Security checks will keep rolling in.

You know, you're right. There must be all sorts of possibilites. Business partners, for example, could just "marry" each other and reap lots of benefits. And they need not limit the "marriage" to two people. One advantage is that none of the "spouses" could be forced to testify against any of the others.
