THE UNITED NATIONS has voted to go war against the world's worst weapon of mass destruction. The United States is against the resolution.

This news passed by with little notice last week. In Geneva, about 170 nations met in an effort to agree on a global treaty on tobacco. Cigarettes, according to the World Health Organization, kill 4 million people a year and will kill 10 million a year by 2030 if current trends continue. Unless there is a war on tobacco, cigarettes will cut short the lives of 500 million of the 6 billion people on earth.

This is why we need to get out NOW, forget Iraq, UN vetos on Iraq pale compared to this, once they start with global taxes it won't end with cigarettes. Soon working Americans will be supporting welfare programs in Europe, Asia and Africa.

A global tax on a pack in addition to all the other taxes on a pack? I have news for the socialists, you are asking for a monumental international black market, highly organized, bigger than any other black market, supported by hardworking tax-paying Americans. If they make all of us criminals, we will have nothing to lose.

Socialist programs fail, their countries are in ruins, lets tax the capitalists, the successful ones, to pay for our failures. I have no doubt that many Americans will welcome this after all it's about the evil weed tobacco and that HAS to be good for us, no? Stupid, stupid people, it's all about power and control and getting people used to the idea of the UN as an authority in their lives.

How many of these 500 million people will have died from other causes anyway?
