Various crowds were swarming the LA Times building downtown when I arrived-- the Green Party crowd was surprisingly large, and ticked off because Peter Camejo, their candidate, had attempted to enter the building to join the debate, but had been turned away by the LA Times people. It had been reported yesterday that Joe Davis threatened to boycott the one and only debate he has agreed to if the Green Party candidate participated. Crybaby.
Anyway, people were shouting and thrusting signs in front of t.v. reporters. RonDog was there in the eGray hooker get up and Outraged was in his Superman suit with a great sign of Bill Simon opening his shirt to reveal the big "S".
At the last Freep I was at, a few union men showed up an hour into our little protest to stand around with printed Davis signs. This time, men and women from a few different unions made quite a showing with the printed signs, bullhorns, and the NIGHTMARISH chant: "FOUR MORE YEARS!" One union lady nut was screeching "Davis creates jobs!" Yeah, if your union pays him enough.
The chicken guy was there and got a lot of attention from the media. (I was interviewed by La Opinion so for those of you who read the Spanish language paper, keep your eyes out for that.)
After the protest most people dispersed to go watch the debate. We went to a hotel down the block and watched it on t.v. with some Green Party people.
Want my honest opinion of how Bill Simon did? Actually, he surprised me. HE KICKED JOE DAVIS' @SS! The one hour debate, moderated by Hal Fishman, showcased what a snake Joe Davis is, gave Simon the opportunity to ask straight out: "Hey Joe, ever raise money for your campaign in the governor's office, which is totally illegal?" to which Joe WOULD NOT answer yes or no, but skirted and snaked all over the place and looked like CRAP doing it.
THAT'S RIGHT: Simon also looked WAY BETTER.
He really blew me away. I've met him briefly before and heard him speak and thought he was nice and sincere, but the gloves came off in this debate and he verbally punched Joe Davis in his heavily made up face several times.
Yes, he did! Simon was calm, cool and collected ... he had his facts and figures straight, smiled, looked at the camera, seemed personable and real and, frankly, like someone you'd want to have a beer with while watching a football game. Davis looked like a cadaver. Davis NEVER looked at the camera, stammered and stuttered, and his SHIRT DIDN'T FIT! Simon looked like a leader, Davis looked like a funeral director, the one who charges you for the nice casket and buries grandma in a pine box.
Go Simon! Kick more Joe Davis butt!
I could write a very angry letter right now about Sen. Hillary Clinton, but I decided instead merely to express some constructive criticism. Let me begin by saying that Hillary is intellectually dishonest in everything she says and does. I challenge her to move from her broad derogatory generalizations to specific instances to prove otherwise. Her advocates are hostile at best, the downfall of society at worst. Likewise, she possesses no significant intellectual skills whatsoever and has no interest in erudition. Heck, she can't even spell or define "erudition," much less achieve it. There are few certainties in life. I have counted only three: death, taxes, and Hillary doing some nit-picky thing every few weeks. Now, I don't want to overwork the story about how she plans to tinker about with a lot of halfway prescriptions, so let's just say that she maintains that either boosterism is the only alternative to barbarism or that freedom must be abolished in order for people to be more secure and comfortable. Hillary denies any other possibility. She says that the ideas of "freedom" and "voyeurism" are Siamese twins. Yet she also wants to ignore compromise and focus solely on her personal agenda. Am I the only one who sees the irony there? I ask, because mephitic delinquents (like Hillary) are not born -- they are excreted. Lastly, none of Sen. Hillary Clinton's "progressive" ideas have actually resulted in any progress.
Dittos ... Go Simon!
What I found so amusing of Davis is his stumbling of words, incoherent at times, and always attacking Simon. He tended to down play the words, like taxes for revenues, and yes contributions. Also, green house gases, which is a farse of a bill, and that everyone is contributing to pay for "family leave act"? A$$hole!!!
I did listen and found Simon always staying with the questions. Didn't seem to me that he tried to sway out of questions, and answered them as he always had from previous talk interviews I heard him on.
What I found hilarious was that political editorial Times editor, Janet ?? asking Davis why both parties don't like him, and Davis spews off all kinds of personality stuff, like Eron, long extension cord to Texas for power, and Jay Leno, "white men can jump" jokes. In which Janet came back, and pounded Davis a new one, 'I didn't ask you about a personality test', I asked why don't parties on both sides can't stand you? I can image that Davis must of been fumbling at that rebuttal remark made Janet.... ;0)
Quite a few times, I was yelling at the radio, calling Davis, of course, liar and other words.....lol...
H.L. Mencken
Thus wrote an inveterate racist and anti-semite. I don't need advice from such a person. Mencken was full of himself and set the mold for today's prima-donna, opinion-spewing, agenda-setting, Christian-hating "journalists."
Proofreading is your friend...
The union thugs were there in full orchestrated force. I had it out with a few of the very threatening fata$$es. They were some big angry looking punks. I exchanged words with quite a few of them, given I am not too shy about my opinions. I called them "Davis' whores" and called them "Union thugs", right to their faces mind you. One scumbag Davis union thug said I "looked like a queer" in the Superman ("S" is for Simon) outfit, remarking that Republicans are queers. I promptly retorted that queers overwhelming support democRATS. They did not like that much.
