State Finance Director Tim Gage may have provided legislators with the closest thing to an explanation in their quest to understand how on earth the Davis administration in just 22 days approved a $95 million contract, without competitive bidding, for Oracle Corp. software the state probably didn't need.

"This would never have happened in the real world of business," Florez said. "But it happened here."

I thought compromise was the core of good govt.

Just one question: Has Davis finally done enough to hang himself with the electorate, or will the election actually be a contest? I hope Davis goes down in ignominious defeat.

Hard to say.
Lots of folks will still vote Dem out of habit.
Simon should benefit from the rapidly diminishing approval ratings for Davi$.
Im optimistic that Simon will prevail. I just hope we can get rid of a bunch of socialists in the legislature as well.
This state is way out there on some issues and needs to get back to basics.

Thanks again Norm for finding another good thread re the Fascist Criminals Davis and his AG, Lockyer.

Davis is really bad, but our criminal fascist AG is even worse with this statement and how he has stonewalled all criminal investigations from insider trading during the power crisis by his fellow rats to the Whoreacle mess.

Attorney General Bill Lockyer has said he hasn't seen evidence of any illegality yet but noted that his office's investigation is in its early stages. Department of Justice lawyers monitored the committee's hearings, but Lockyer spokesman Nathan Barankin said it is "yet to be determined" whether the testimony will help the probe of the contract, which a state audit blasted as potentially costing the state $41 million more than it otherwise would have spent on database software.

Barankin added, though, that perjury "is within our purview," because the witnesses testified under oath.

Lockyer has trained and groveled at his master, Jake Reno. Remember Jake could never find any criminal activity connected with the Clintoons, while trying to destroy America.

How can Lockyer investigate this when he himself received $50K from Oracle? If he were honest he would recuse himself (or if he were a Republican, the papers would be screaming for him to recuse himself).

You posted what many of us have been citing since we learned about Lockyer and his $50K from Whoreacle: How can Lockyer investigate this when he himself received $50K from Oracle? If he were honest he would recuse himself (or if he were a Republican, the papers would be screaming for him to recuse himself).

Let's take this a step further. I want to see a copy of the cancelled/returned check to Whoreacle by Lockyer for $50,000 and a statement from Whoreacle that they did not laundry that money to get it back to Lockyer so he would drag his feet. I do not believe this lying POS masquerading as our top legal guy in Kali that he or Davis returned any of the Whoreacle bribe monies.

It is like during the senate impeachment votes, I got banned re my emails to Boxer telling her to recuse herself from the Senate vote as a married relative to the Clintoon family. She refused to ever acknowledge this reality and recuse herself from the debate and voting on enacting the Impeachment penalty.

They are all crooks and arrogant law violators as There is no controlling legal authority over their actions.

Yep. If Lockyer could prosecute anyone, it would probably be Florez or Pacheco for even having these hearings....

Florez and Pacheco are part of the Rat team to conduct a phoney investigation, make a lot of noise, pass a lot of hot wind and do nothing about the criminals in Davis's administration.

This symbol below shows the unity of the rats as they scurry around to deflect justice from Davis:

Time to clean up Sacramento!
It is a dreary, bitter town full of crooks and charlatans.

OR Just think Gary Condit or Maxine Waters and you've got the typical California democrat party politician.
