SACRAMENTO - Issuing a blistering indictment of the Davis administration, the lawmaker leading the investigation into the Oracle deal concluded his inquiry Monday and blamed the failed contract on officials who bowed to political pressure.
Florez, a Bakersfield Democrat who has presided over two months of hearings, recounted in extraordinary detail how a powerful lawmaker and advisers to Gov. Gray Davis pushed a controversial software contract that ``was at a standstill before Oracle began pulling strings.''

We probably need a couple of more examples like this to bring down Davis though!

My thoughts too. Hard to figure out why. Florez could easily issue the standard "mistakes were made, are being fixed" statement but didn't. I would love to know the real reason for the ripping...
The Slave Party will do ANYTHING to stay in power.
It possible that he's a Democrat with actual integrity. There's bound to be one or two.
We could win that , couldn't we?
Davis is going to quit???!
Where would he go to work?
Not in Kalifornicator, there are no Rats with integrity!
Is this so called upset Rat setting the stage for Davis to come out and apologize and receive back the votes he has lost with all of the bad publicity?
I have a feeling all Florez's remarks the past 2 weeks were written in LaLa land by those who get paid big bucks on how to fake out Americans in movie theatres and around their home tvs.
Remember during the Impeachment fiasco with the Bent One. At first glance it sounded like Chifi, Lieberman, Dirty Bryd and other rats were soundly condemning the Bent One. Then they voted to keep him around. The whole thing was a well coordinate act to make them look concerned for the sheeple.
I see Flores words, as a typical rat manuever to reduce the static electricity before a situation really explodes. I predict this great Rat, Flores, will do nothing to really whack Davis. This is all show and tell with no real punishment for wrong doings.
The same thing applies to all of these opeds. Yet I don't know of a single rat editor or publisher screaming for Davis's head to placed on a pike. If a repubie had done 1/10 of what Davis has done, there would have been movies, shows for tv and 24/7 coverage on tv and in the fishwraps screaming for the repubie's head.

As I read the article, I kept waiting to see any comments by Flores about Gray Davis, but the worst charge was only about Davis' decision to fire four people after the scandal broke the news.
The author or Flores was careful always to blame other people instead of Davis. Otherwise, it's nice that Flores is saying some truths, but I doubt that anything will be done to change the practices of the vending-machine governor.
