I am watching President Bush giving a speech on CNN telling us he is expanding federal government more than any Democrat since Truman.

It's okay to trust in God, but he's trying to help us ... he sent us Bush.

Where did he say that he was expanding the government?

When he said he was creating a new cabinet level bureaucracy.

How is it expansion if he is only reorganizing agencies that exist?

Wait and see, he's a pro-government globalist.

If it costs money to fix the problems, what's the problem with that?

It's our money.

How much do you think freedom costs? Is it free?

If we follow the Constitution freedom is a God given right.

There are presently 88 Congressional committees and sub-committees to "oversee" the agencies being consolidated into one. It is a laugh riot to think about the 88 present committee chairmen are going to decide which of them gets to be the only one standing.

I think it's too funny. I'll bet that all of this was considered well in advance of this evening's presentation. The dems are freaking out for sure.

Was Lieberman at the inauguration?

You use the term "free" as in "no cost". Sorry Eye Freedom ain't free.

When he said he was creating a new cabinet level bureaucracy.

You know...there will be other positions in the former departments and agencies that once housed these agencies that will be closed. Those groups will reduce, or simply move over.

You can bet it was. Dan Rather tried to claim this wasn't Bush's idea, that he was forced into it by Congress, and that he did it today to keep those hearings off the air.

John Roberts had to show him the booklet that covers it all to get him to stop.

You can bet one thing: they have already started the backbiting in the halls of Congress. And all those "senior" senators just told Hillary Clinton and John Edwards to get screwed, we're protecting OUT turf, junior!

Man, it's gonna be great.

Are you like the other yahoo who wants to leave defense up to God?

He doesn't do defense.

In my experience with federal government creating a new bureaucracy means the government will grow

Time will tell but tell me why do you oppose the concept. The concept is a conservative one. It draws a bright line between the Armed Forces and and security on our shores. I like it.

It's your money that sent the troops into Afghanstan, too. Did that cost you too much?

Nah, he and Al took a little trip together to console and get in touch with their feminine side.

It has already been corrected. Thanks just the same.

The Department of Defense was established by the National Security Act of 1947

I stand corrected. I believe (I hope I don't get it wrong again) it was the Department of War that got renamed to the Army.

I think that you prefer anarchy over God-and use God's name to promote your fringe views. You need to read your bible and tell me where God ever told us to lay aside wisdom in search of safety and security.

Be very careful, as I am prepared to take you down.
