The main plank of Bush campaign was a significant tax cut.

(funny , one of the main planks in the Clinton campaign in '92 was a tax cut)

Bush delivered what he ran on while Clinton gave us greatest tax hike in history .

Its really nothing but liberal hysteria that portrays Bush as a right wing conservative . A few looks at him in blue jeans and boots on his ranch had all of you convinced he was a fire-breathing , gun toting , bible-thumping threat to the liberal New York / California view of the world . Its also why Porno Boy Clinton told Dubya after the elections 'The DNC really underestimated you'.......more accurately put , the DNC doesn't even know him and everytime Bush does something outside your 30 second sound bite view of conservatives , it causes a tizzy .

The fact that you do not see any degree of separation between Bush and Clinton indicates you don't pay much attention to the detail of issues, and aren't familiar with how legislation is made. As someone posted here (to which I agree), if a score of 100 represents the perfect conservative President, Bush probably rates a 40; Gore would have been a MINUS-100. If I agree with Bush more times that not, I'm pleased. I would have likely agreed with Gore about 0% of the time.
