Only thing worse than praying in public squares is insulting people for doing so.
To: deport
Did you find a public square to pray in yet? No Lucifer, the liberals and their supporters are offened by it. Thanks for asking.

Rat Patrol: Great show! LOL! A little trivia few people remember.

You've still not answered my question on Post 498.
What are YOU willing to lose tomorrow in the name of "principle"? The House and the Senate? The White House? Will you allow Hillary, or John Edwards, or Gore, or Lieberman, or Gephardt to pick the Supreme Court justices?
That's what it comes down to. Bush will appoint people like Thomas and Scalia. A GOP Senate will CONFIRM people like Thomas and Scalia. Democrats in thw White Hopuse and running the Senate won't.
Any questions?

I will sadly admit that I was completely wrong to jump on the bandwagon on this one. I offer my public apology and hope you fellow freepers accept.

What are YOU willing to lose tomorrow in the name of "principle"? Nothing major. I refuse to sell my soul. It's not for sale.

After yesterday, you would have slap something besides egg on your face.

"Global Warming": 1.The belief that human industrial activity is causing/will cause a global rise in surface temperature. 2.The belief in "anthropogenic" climate change.

Oh, Howlin, you called it! The catalog of CYAs in the Rush repetoir is ever-expanding.

But isn't that the difference between Clinton and Bush?
Clinton hires lawyers who screw everything up to make a buck.
Bush hires REAL workers who have to assemble and actually make the thing work.
To: RightWhale
"I don't see the point of this report," Bush said dully. The "point of the report" is that Bush better clear out the Clinton holdovers or they will stab him in the back every chance they get.
To: Deb
So you think that 2 years wasn't a sufficient period of time for the EPA to expunge the Clinton adminstration's influence?
To: AmishDude
FYI- Funding for a study on pollution control was part of last years budget. I am sure "another study" will be released soon.
Oh, and I don't consider that Bush will slip at all, he has plenty of quid-pro-quo to spread around if he wants to win again in 2004. I just don't favor big government conservatism.
The good thing about Bush is you get what you pay for.

And so for your soul, you'll sit out, and put this country into the hands of the Democrats, who oppose virtually EVERYTHING you stand for. In my opinion, that is almost as bad as what Jim Jeffords did. Both you and Jeffords hide behind principle.
What you are doing has the same effect as what Jeffords did. You are choosing political suicide over a chance at victory. I cannot stop you, but I will work to minimize the damage you do to my country and the principles you claim to espouse.

"That hasn't been possible since Andrew Jackson. Civil service exams, career bureaucrats. Read my #22. He's got no choice."
I think actually it was Chester A. Arthur and much later.

Your hysteria makes you sound like a liberal. Who has ever died from federally- or state-mandated clean air?
To: Sabertooth
I'm taking this one at face value unless I see specific info otherwise. Which means Bush needs to get watchdogs in place at the bureaucracies so that situations like this don't happen. that, saber, is the bottom line. i appreciate how you cut through all the bs and state the obvious. :)

Are you sure you're not talking to my mom? LOL You mean I'm not alone .. LOL
Note to self .. I am never gonna do this to my kids
