The Bush appologists feed the division just as much as the Bush bashers. (I personally feel he has deserved MOST of the bashing) He is not a King and he must be held to account. We deserve to get the man we voted for....so, for those counting, he still has enough flip-flops to make an entire album.

Look for yourself, become self sufficient.

Although I don't think I qualify as a neocon, I think you need to go to the NOAA web site and read their discussion of global warming.
NOAA discussion of global warming and paleoclimatology
There is some evidence that the earth is warming. The dispute that I have is why, and if any reduction of greenhouse gases will have any effect on the outcome.
Looking at the data on that site, which is run by career weather and climatologists, there appears to be evidence of warming. However, I raised several questions about the data collectioin methods on another thread, so I am not totally convinced. The scientific community is split on this issue, and therefore it should not be surprising that everyone in the government isn't on the same page. The only part of the report that I would dispute is the amount of contribution man-made causes have on warming. And even that can be looked at as coming primarily from the 19th and early 20th centuries, when smokestacks belched carbon into the atmosphere, before there was a public demand for clean air.

Sorry to disagree...I think some here work actively to undermine his efforts!

Sad about Rush really... My husband gave up on him years ago and I did yesterday.

So let's see how many Bush-bangers with their self-righteous "principles" also include humility in their quiver of attributes and can admit when they're wrong. (Some would say they made fools of themselves. But not me. No. I wouldn't say that).

The fact of the matter is that some conservatives have chosen political suicide over political adaptation. They are as much of a threat to what I stand for as left-wing nutcases, as far as I am concerned." Absolutely and maybe even more so if we allow them to have any impact. The coresiders can commit political suicide if they want to, and most did several elections ago. I will just watch, laugh and enjoy my sun tea. I don't like koolaide.

Well, I don't disagree with that entirely. Many didn't like him from the start. But it would be wise for both sides to listen more. That goes triple for our President. He has messed up recently and hopefully all the criticism will get him back on track.

WASHINGTON, June 3 (UPI) -- A new report by the Bush administration acknowledges global warming is occurring and strongly embraces the conclusions of a study on projected U.S. climate change completed during the Clinton administration.Filed by science writer, Joe Grossman - 7:51 pm)

"I am not Stonewalling the homosexual agenda," the Speaker said gaily.

I wonder how it happened that the NY Times was aware of the report as soon as it appeared on the EPA Web site. Obviously somebody tipped them off. I wonder who.
The President needs to clean house....these last few months of leaks and bogus reports show that there are still many Clintonites and other Left-wingers running things at the State Department, the EPA, the Pentagon, etc.

Really? What did he say??? I heard him during the first hour and he was still ranting and raving! How could he possibly backtrack from all that??? I must know! :)

Consider the entertainment and hours of conversation it provides! Think for yourself, but he does often give the facts a different slant from the mainstream press !

Unlike the hoards of Bush-Bashers who shot from the hip and cried the sky was falling, Nick actually went to the EPA's web site, read the document, and posted the relevent excerpts as well as the final conclusion: the document is nothing but a bureaucratic brush-off using the enviro-nazi's own language against them. I appreciate the kudos, but what I did used to be standard operating procedure around here. When I got here in '98, a New York Times article with BS in it would survive about five minutes on FR before we had tracked down the source documents and started posting the truth. We would go after a lying reporter like piranhas... a bite here, a bite there, until we had his article in shreds. C'mon, people. Just because Clinton is gone, it doesn't mean the press is finished pushing liberal lies down our throats. Don't believe these guys. Check out what they say! Don't just react as if they're telling you the truth... odds are they aren't. Lying is what they do, and always to promote the liberal side of things. If you are new here, please understand something: this is the only place on the Internet where ordinary people have the opportunity to show up these New York liberals as the liars they are. In almost every case, "the truth is out there," and it's probably not more than two good Google searches away. Our mission as Freepers is to find this stuff, and bring it back on a stick, so the rest of the village may enjoy roasting the poor reporter who tried to hoodwink us. The next time some Drudge-assisted liar from the New York Times tries to pull one of these stunts, I hope to see fewer people saying "That does it, I'll never vote for that RINO again" and a lot more people saying, "Look what I found! It says here that..." |

What Rush did yesterday was a cheap publicity stunt at the expense of the Commander in Chief, during a time of war. Any of you here, who have loved ones in action or are involved yourself, do not need to be reminded, that we are still at war. One phone call to Ari or Karl or Mary would have gotten the truth. Rush behaved in a low rent fashion, akin to Hillary on the Senate floor and Daschle asking what GW knew and when he knew it. Shabby conduct,no matter how it's spinned.
