"Bush got the EP-3 crew back and immediately started flying reconnaissance missions again."

Whee!!! after the Chinese did a "thorough" sweep of the plane.

So what? The Chinese got a look at what the crew didn't destroy before crash landing.
How did you expect Bush to prevent this? Would you have preferred he start a war with China?

What did it take a couple of weeks or more??

It took 11 days.
Carter was paralyzed for an entire year by his hostage crisis. And you're complaining after Bush got our hostages back alive in less than 2 weeks?

Eisenhower stopped our spy flights after one was shot down and Nikita Khruschchev called him names at a European meeting.
Bush refused to give into Chinese demands that we stop our spy flights, he resumed them immediately, and the Chinese fighter pilots are the ones who backed off and kept their distance after the EP-3 incident.

Bush recieved high grades on his handling of the China crisis from both sides of the isle in Congress and from both sides of the Atlantic.
IMHO your complaint above illustrates just how nit-picky and detached from reality some of this Bush bashing really has become.

Tell me which one of the following Dumbya policies you support:

CFR,

Nationalizing Airport security,

60% increase in the Dept of Ed,

Amnesty for illegals,

open borders,

50% increase in foreign aid,

blaming global warming on humans,

13 week extension on unemployment benefits,

doubling farm welfare,

banning oil exploration in Florida, or

sending Treasury Secretary O'Neill to Africa with Bono.

And don't give me this crap line that he's just "taking away issues from the Democrats." The FACT is that Chimpy Dummy DUHbya is presiding over the largest expansion of the Federal Government EVER.

Where's the money coming from??? Hell, they'll just BORROW it. What's the deficit at? $200 billion? From a $100 billion surplus to a $200 billion deficit. A net of $300 billion. Way to go Idiot DUHbya, hope you like following in the disastrous footsteps of your failure daddy.

You've been right all along. W(hiskey) is nothing but a big time big government nanny state spender. I can't envision even Gore spending so much. Now, I can envision Gore pushing for federalization of local zoning, but I don't see Dumbya vetoing this measure either.

There is no policy change

I didn't make it clear enough that I think this is the most important thing (not) in the report. I also fairly strong language condemning any idea that the science is certain (hidden behind a politically expedient, weak-kneed admission that humans are affecting the atmosphere...)

Thanks for letting me know about the report but I've already looked at it. I just want to hear him say it himself. That's the problem when you start changing your opinions on key issues....you leave your supporters needing a lot of reassurance and you open the door to mischief making by the liberal press.

You may be right on this one, Deb. I hope you are anyway. The flip-flop I've never recovered from, and there have been many, is Campaign Finance Reform, or as I call it First Amendment Reform.

If George W. Bush thinks he can take his base for granted while he sells out the country, he is every bit the d@mned fool he has been accused of being.

And come to think of it, where was his "reassurance" to us when he signed CFR, etc. etc...

On CFR, I only remember him making smartass jokes about how fast he would sign it. George the First never made me as angry as this guy.

"Politically feasible?" Is this all part of Dubya's grand Machievillian strategy to advance conservative views? If so, do you mean to say that Dubya is lying when he defends Americorp, CFR, a 50 percent increase in foreign aid in three years, more farm subsidies, no drilling off the Florida coast (using same arguments as the greenies do on Alaska), more spending for the Department of Education, the theory of global warming, abandonment of vouchers, steel tariffs, parity for mental health, socialization of prescription drugs spending, abandonment of a balanced budget strategy, etc., etc.
