I believe Simon asked for a disclosure of his fundraising activities and Davis has not turned that overUm hm. And will we see that little tidbit on our newspapers above the fold front page any time soon?

Thanks for the prayers, we need 'em. I'm not attending any of these $1000 a plate fund raisers, but I will be sending in a few bucks - I got a solicitation from the Simon campaign in the mail, and I'll gladly write a (much smaller) check. I also gladly display my DUMP DAVIS bumper sticker on my car.

If I were Simon I'd keep those tax returns close to the vest until they consumed every bit of negative media space they could. Then at the last minute I'd release them saying that the clean slate would truly reveal how bankrupt the dems were for demanding it. If they were clean, it'd make the Dems look like complete jackasses.

Right. We all know how fair and balanced and unbiased the major newspapers are in California (esp. San Francisco and LA.) (And Algore really won the election, too.) sarcasm :}

Glad to see Bush stumping for Simon. It should help those of us who want him to replace Davis.

Hot wife. Simon really does look like Clark Kent. Someday Bill may be riding jumpseat in b AF1.

Davis has $30 million and a bunch of pissed off voters. This is going to be a horse race.
To: .38sw
Well, the clintoons didn't release theirs either. Hmmm, I'm sure it's because of the mega-millions they made last year. They must be embarrassed to have made a killing in the decade of greed they were in the WH. I don't hear anybody in the media demanding to know how much chillary made last year.

What's more important? -- Bill Simon's tax return, or Gray Davis' deficit ($20 billion and growing)?

The professional political polls (including the liberal CTA) all show him leading Davis by 4-5 points. I'd love to believe this! Can you source it?? thanks.

Honestly, I wouldn't know. The local news is nothing much more than a variety show these days. Nothing but low-cal fluff is presented. Why torture myself.
I do know what you mean though.

A previous thread talks about the other polls:

"Can that survive people knowing he has a house of around 9,000 square feet, or that he can afford a Gulfstream jet?"
Davis wanted to buy himself a Gulfstream with taxpayer's mony after 9-11, while telling people how safe it was to fly commercial. Maybe Simon can use this in his campaign!
