Could you give us a sign that you feel otherwise? All the signs say "come in, we're OPEN" and "please seat yourself". Were are an all night diner that doesn't charge for meals and here's the current grill-man G.W. Bush.

President Bush yesterday requested new funding to make it easier for immigrants and day workers to cross Mexico's 1,951-mile border into the United States, while insisting that border modernization will hamper the drug trade and prevent entry of violent criminals.Mr Bush, would it be too much to explain how this nonsensical proposal would work? And, by the way, why do we have to pony up $ for this idiocy?
Mr. Bush, who wants to grant amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from Mexico
Son, that's also a real bad idea.
"This is a dangerous world," Mr. Bush said. "Too many people are losing their lives to murderers."
ROTFL.

Now that's a good question... Why is the border only a One Way Border? Mexicans can come here, but Americans can't? There's something so wrong with that. If we get this so called open border policy with Mexico, the only thing that's going to happen is we will be flooded with Mexicans. The first thing we should do is CLOSE ALL BORDERS. No immigration for 10 years at a minimum. Illegal immigrants rounded up and deported. Let's put our tax dollars to work for the tax payers instead of freeloading immigrants who come here with their governments help. I wish that Mexico's people would have a massive civil war, get rid of that fascist pinko government, and put into place a representational republic. Maybe their country wouldn't be such a toilet. Of course that would mean that Mexicans would have to start acting like civilized people instead of acting like primates and build their own country.
I am so enraged that our country is the dumping ground for the world's refuse. Sure every now and again we get a diamond in the rough, but more often than not, we fund gutter trash to come here. I think that we as a nation need to start apprehending these illegals, rounding them up like the stray animals they are and take them back to the homes they left. I don't mean just Mexicans, I mean ALL ILLEGALS.

It's to make it easier and quicker legal border crossings. Keep in mind that every day tens of thousands of people legally cross the border. Most for frivolous reasons too. They come over to take their kids to American schools for free, they come over to take jobs, they come over to use our hospitals free. We should put the Walmarts and Sam's over in Mexico, let Mexicans build their own schools and hospitals, and have much less border traffic so we can really have some security. There's no security in having millions of people able to cross in less than 5 minutes.

Mexico is very clear on it's immigration policies. Americans cannot go to Mexico and work or own property. They'd rather let tourism die than to let Americans develop the coasts. Mexico does not allow illegal immigration to Mexico and US citizens will not be given Mexican citizenship. Fox is demanding everything be one-way. He even called in Castro's police to take out the 21 Cubans at the Mexican embassy who were asking for asylum.

Oh Yes, let's punish the people who don't break the law. Get a gripe please. There are tens of thousands of Americans who travel to mexico for business and recreation every year. And there are tens of thousands of mexicans who legally travel here for the same reasons.
Your judgement (of their reasons) and desire to restrict their freedom because other people break the law is such a liberal reaction. And I've heard that there are walmarts in mexico. They're there because Americans and Mexicans to business together.

Sorry but I live on the border ---and I know that much of the border crossing is completely frivolous and does Americans no good at all. We have to keep the borders wide open because people want to get over to the US in 5 minutes so they can get their kids to schools on the US side ---which is illegal because they don't pay tuition or taxes and use fake addresses when registering them, they abuse the American taxpayers by using the free medical clinics. They should build the stores and restaurants on the Mexican side --but why should Americans pay billions of dollars to an INS on the bridge that is only meant to provide quick entry into the US? The border region is an economic disaster so there is little reason to think any of this benefits Americans.
