Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.
Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?
If I had a buck for every word I have had to eat I would own my own island.
Weller lettme see I onllly had er bout 2. 2 six paxs thatis.
And besides, I surely couldn't go on arguing with someone who's screen name is Reaganwuzthebest!
And guys, thanks for hearing me out. And thanks for responding as you did, I learned a thing or two.
Now let's go get our country back! What I like to call the reclamation of America!
Nope. I admire traits in others that I am sometimes weak on. I gave WR a real hard time and he responded with integrity. I am a little ashamed of myself.
Thank you. I did it with a vanity post in mind but there were so many flying around I decided not to add to the clutter.
My accusatory post to you was a reaction to what I saw (real or imagined) all weekend as a coordinated effort by some posters to subtly paint a negative picture of the best argument against illegal immigration. If you are a disruptor, my point stands. If you are posting your real opinion, my apologies. See you around.

Where is the 98% figure coming from? Was there a survey where the respondents could freely select from the 'nuts', 'whacco', 'weird' and 'scary' boxes?
Seriously, the 98% of the country that relies on the 'mainstream' information distribution outlets is being told 100% of the time that any 'idea' that doesn't fall within the DemoGOP 'mainstream' is 'nuts' by definition.
Weren't they able to get rid of the 'Helium subsidy'? I believe they did. See below:
"The question is not if we will close Amarillo, but when and how," said Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID). Sen. Craig chaired a Senate Energy Committee hearing on the sale of the federal helium stockpile at Amarillo, Texas on July 25, 1995. Two House bills and three Senate bills have been introduced to terminate the federal program for helium refining, marketing and transporting. The Administration's bill, S.898, introduced by Sen. Frank Murkowski (R-AK), chair of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, would shut down the helium program in three years.
Nope, we didn't. We supported the hell out of Bush Sr. in 1988. Then, among other absurdities, he raised taxes, pushed for and signed the ADA, and left a wounded tiger in Baghdad. He did it to himself--a failed presidency by a shallow man whose principles (those he had) were firmly planted in quicksand.
People used to talk about the "Reagan-Bush" years. How silly--we have just emerged, or so we thought--from the Bush-Clinton years. Bush Sr. lied to us just as Clinton did, but on more substantive matters than oral sex. I see the principal difference between the two as one could get laid, one couldn't.
Besides, at least Clinton gave us one thing that Bush couldn't: a Republican Congress that for a few giddy months was actually conservative.
