Now That Bush Has Sold Us Out... What are we going to do about it? (vanity)
Posted on 03/13/2002 2:47:41 PM PST by Michael2001
Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.
Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?

Regarding Ron Paul: I think as a Libertarian, he would believe in 100% open borders. So, I guess the 1%ers will have to split their vote. Making them each .5%ers, huh?I think you've got it.
Ron Paul frets over a lot of things, but he doesn't seem to be bothered by illegals in America.
Not a peep out of the usual suspects, however.

BS. In California, all you need is a driver's license to register to vote. In order to get a DL, all you need is an address to establish your permanent residency.

Read posts# 319 and #320.
The White House or the Congress should have explained what this bill entails long before now. I didn't expect the media to explain it. ;o)

It's easy to be against something and it's easy to have comrades when you are. But it's tough to stand up with those comrades and tell them what you are for. Then you realize you don't have so much in common anymore. The reflexive Bush-hating comes from different fronts at different times.

When were you ever forced to do anything?Actually, I'm very resistant to use of force.
But that hasn't prevented the Republicrats from deliberately limiting my choices at the ballot box.
Specificly, during the last campaign, Michigan Secretary of State (and Bush's Michigan campaign co-chair) Candy Miller denied placement of PJB's name as the Reform candidate on the Michigan ballot -- a clear conflict of interest.
Engler's "firewall" for Bush didn't do him much good in Michigan anyway.
But yes, the Republicrats DO actively seek to limit my choice and force me to select between the lesser of two evils.
It's the old good-cop / bad-cop routine, and I'm not playing that game anymore.

Better yet, why don't you hold your breath until you turn purple, and then move to France?

Thank you for posting this. I am going to send it to all now since it sums up my feelings:
"Did you see Bush's news conference earlier today, when he clearly said "NO BLANKET AMNESTY"? Hey, I'll scream as loudly as you, if he signs such a bill into law. Today's comments sounded as though he was thoroughly pissed at the House of Representatives over the immigration issue - and at the Senate for holding up judicial appointments."

There will be a self-disembowelment ceremony
tomorrow night at 7PM at the Libertarian Civic Auditorium.
All participants are asked to bring your own body bag.

Libertarians have an out of control sense of self importance. It seems they are a tiny fringe minority who cannot elect leaders or otherwise effect policy. Their only real function is to irritate conservatives on news forums. Tell me why I should take a libertarian seriously? --MM

You are foaming at the mouth I can see....over what.....Bush selling out...uh how since he hasn't signed it and he said today "no blanket amnesty???"

That is impossible to do when the Republicans are running people like Scott Armey in this district for office.

If the pictures don't work CJ will resort to his forte "ad homonim attack"No doubt
As I stated earlier: If President Bush declared no amnesty or wanted millions of criminal illegals deported, most all the Bush supporters on this forum would be in agreement with him.
Bet the rent.
