Why am I not surprised by this? How long ARE we going to put up with our inept, completely incompetent Federal government, anyway?! ROLL BACK THE LEGISLATION, CLOWNGRESS! GET RID OF ALL OF THESE ALPHABET SOUP AGENCIES, AND CONCENTRATE ON DEFENDING US, YOU MORONS!
After all, prescription drug coverage is USELESS to me, if I'm DEAD.

"It does serve to illustrate what we have been saying since 1995 -- that the current system for collecting information and tracking foreign students is antiquated, outdated, inaccurate and untimely." That's a FRIKKIN' UNDERSTATEMENT!

"I think it is certainly embarrassing that the letters show up at this late date," said INS spokesman Russ Bergeron. "It does serve to illustrate what we have been saying since 1995 -- that the current system for collecting information and tracking foreign students is antiquated, outdated, inaccurate and untimely."No sh!t, Sherlock.

THIS Bush etc want to GIVE AMNESTY TO ILLEGALS! Yeah, that irks me, too. Fortunately, the President is almost completely powerless, without Congress. (Congress has the only authority Constitutionally to create, authorize, and destroy Executive agencies).
Unfortunately, Congress is full of Communists. Lucky us.

And now these same idiots are in charge of airport security. Great.
However, What a great example for all of to use in future debate.

Sheesh!
To: RCW2001
The student visa requests were actually granted months later -- on July 17, 2001, for Atta, and August 9, 2001 for al-Shehhi -- but postmarks indicate the letters of notification were only sent out to Hufman Aviation last week. They were received Monday, the six-month milestone of last year's terror attacks. This is chilling.
Somebody at the DOJ and the White House had better wake up - SOON.

Former INS District Director Tom Fischer told CNN that "the letters should never have been sent." Their delivery, he said, was "a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand was doing." In most businesses, a statement like this would get you canned. At the INS, it is a solid argument to demand more money and more power.

To: RCW2001
I have to take my shoes off twice for the same flight, and Atta just gets his visa approved for flight school. I feel safe from any future terrorist activity, how about everyone else?
