FORT WORTH, Texas
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
There was NO MONEY forked over!!!!!!! There was a "WRIT BOND" issued in which there was NO HEARING and NO MONEY PUT UP!!!!
RETIRING Judge Don Leonard set the proposed amount at just $10,000, and Magistrate GENE GRANT issued the "Writ Bond" which allowed an attorney to just SIGN for her to get out of jail.
OUTRAGEOUS!!!
It is, however, designed to get the most mileage from the incident while at the same time, allowing that "loophole" of "Prove it, Whitey!"
We can only hope she hasn't reproduced.
That's all a bailbondsman does - when you retain a bondsman, as far as the state is concerned, no money has been put up - just a writ by the bondsman. Her attorney just did the same thing without asking her for the 10% a bondsman would want.

I would think so, but I'm not a lawyer either. There was actually KIDNAPPING INVOLVED---i.e. he was certainly NOT in her garage due to his FREE WILL!!!
I think KIDNAPPING + DEATH of victim would qualify for the DEATH PENALTY in Texas---for ALL of the perpetrators involved.
Any Texas lawyers out there?
Not a lawyer but I can read - see my post above. I think this could be sold to a jury as a capital murder case.

While the media isn't calling it a hate crime, this is making international news - far more coverage than the Byrd case.

I agree completely. Sorry I missed your earlier post.

This was written by Dennis Prager..he's a lecturer and radio talk show guy..anyway he speaks to H.S. seniors often, and he relates this story....
He asks these students this question. "Would you save your dog or a stranger first if both were drowning?"
One-third always vote for the dog, one-third always vote for the stranger, and one-third always find the question too difficult.
Then he asks the students who voted to save the person, "Are the students who voted to save the dog wrong?"
Not one student has ever said that the others were wrong.
Their argument is always the same: "Listen, I personally feel that I should save the person, but they feel they should save the dog."

That poor black man was dragged to death, I don't think his tormenters let him hang onto their truck for 2 days. There was an out-cry for his death all over the U.S.
I will do my part to try and not allow this mans death to go, or how he died, by whom he died. This man could have been someone near and dear to us, how bad would we want justice, how far would we go.
We already know how far the Black Communities will go, does the White Race have enough guts to stand by this poor man we never knew? Will we grow weary of this story and go on to the next?
Just my opinion. I'm just one person, my voice is small but I want to scream at someone that this man deserves justice as if he were president the United States, he was one of us, God Have Mercy On Him.
"Well she did activate her wipers and sprayers to try and get him off her windshield"....
This is what I read....maybe it's not true. May God help him...if it is.
