Speaking of NNL, anyone have ideas on how to divvy up that money? I've already gotten bribes from a couple of states that were promptly rejected because they went to me instead of JimRob.

Awesome screenshot from "The Patriot"!

Since we have a fresh thread, let me issue a challenge:

Let's get 888 Freepers in the "dollar-a-day" club!

Out of the many thousands of Freepers out there who value this forum and visit it daily, surely there are at least 888 of you who can afford to pay a dollar a day for the privilege.

Why 888?

Because our current fundraising goals (to keep this site running) is $80,000 a quarter. If we had 888 Freepers donating a dollar a day (or $30 a month), we would meet that goal. And any other contributions would be gravy that we can use to grow Free Republic.

I became a "dollar-a-day" Freeper tonight. I am a man of modest means but $30 a month is not a budget breaker for me. I would like to see at least 887 others do the same (at least 79 others have already made the committment.

Prior to today, I was contributing $20 a month through my debit card. It's safe and easy. I don't even have to think about it. And you know what, I haven't missed the money (which I otherwise would have blown on some oddity - like some REO Speedwagon album or a beer stein I never would have had a chance to drink out of because my wife would stick it in the china cabinet and lock it up).

Please sign up for a monthly contribution today. And by the way, it doesn't have to be $30. I initially started giving $10.

On the first morning of the first day of the Freepathon I contributed $50 for New Mexico. The total since then is only another $50! I'm pinging all 53 New Mexico Freepers to wake them up and encourage, cajole, beg, wheedle, persuade, convince, threaten, shame, etc., them into contributing!

Thanks for breaking it down once more Sam. And again, thanks for stepping up for our FR!

Sooner or later, Dave will have to cap the little dog.
