I saw the new Mel Gibson/Vietman movie yesterday, Sam Elliot as the old WWII Master Sargeant finishing his career in Vietnam has some great lines...soon to be classics
How do you know what kind of GD day it is?(after a young solder says 'good morning')

In 1991 I was working for one of the companies charted to build the bomb to 'get Saddam', I forget the name/number of it now. I was working in another division (Not guidance/missle) and the word came down to us (even us!) that if you are asked to contribute, drop everything you're doing and help. There was a company wide spirit of cooperation and patriotism that I'd never seen before. The guided bomb was delivered in 13 days. BOOM!

GBU-28 Deep Throat. Nothing like recycling old 8" gun barrels into something useful instead of letting them just rust away.

"GBU-28 Deep Throat. Nothing like recycling old 8" gun barrels into something useful instead of letting them just rust away." Yup, that's the one. Some real interesting stories surrounding that one. Dead of night phone calls, trips to the airport in military cars with police escorts, Lear (military) jet rides, etc.

"This remote mountain area is the only passageway left from Pakistan to Afghanistan"Please, don't forget that Afghanistan shares borders with OTHER countries.

Nuke the terrorist savages.

That was a bit of too much information, wasn't it?

I have always loved things that went "BOOM". I wish I could be at the minimum safe distance, and feel the concussion in the air--from the ground.

Now, if Bin Laden or Omar is in this cave, how in the heck are we ever going to prove in lil Tommy Dashole that we are making progress on the war? We need to send many more troops in.
To: SolitaryMan
Let's just send in Little Tommy to sift through the remains. Wouldn't want our solders to have to do it, might be some toxic waste down there.
