Dr. Bruce L. Rind, assistant professor of psychology, was featured in a Philadelphia Daily News article about his study correlating the weather and tips received by waiters.
I'm not a gun owner, but after reading that, I may change my mind.
I do have a very sharp knife, however. I think everyone knows what I would do with that!
Are you suggesting that race has no place in a discussion of "whom the bigots are?"
Well, let me give you another site that addresses the use of language, The Battle Over Patterns Of Personal Identification. There has been a studied campaign to make American Negroes feel confused about their identity. Similar campaigns have been directed at other clearly definable groups. The Left wants to convert all of us from people with ancestors and heritage into dependent groups--victims and interest groups with grievances. Traditional patterns of identification get in their way. People with traditions keep trying to honor their forebears by doing the right things, not looking to Government to remake their beds. The Left uses words--constantly changing terminology for example--to confuse those identifications.
But what has racial terminology to do with the outrage you should feel at the subject of this thread: The attempt to make depraved conduct seem acceptable?

Ouch!!
According to the Marxist manifesto, this is definitely the next step. Watch for it. It's here, and gaining ground rapidly.
God help the children trapped in the public schools system. They'll be the test subjects.
They're on their way to prison for their crimes. The way it should be.
The homosexuals saw an opening in the church, and went for it. Now it's time to pay up for what they've done.
Justice is being served.
There is a related "thrust" now being made, as evidenced in the recent public statement by Dr. Joseph Hagan, Jr., Executive Director of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Hagan claims that children of gays "do not suffer bad outcomes" or any "increase in depression, anxiety, gender identity problems, or adjustment problems."
These are flat-out lies that cannot possibly be supported by reliable data. I happen to know someone who has been through the experience. It is hell for a heterosexual kid to be raised by a gay father. Parental modeling definitely extends to gender roles.
I think a case can be made that Hagan's statements provide useful support for the claims of Rind et al. They can say, "If kids raised by gays have no 'anxiety, depression, or gender identity problems,' why should we fear that kids who cavort with gays are any worse off either?"
I've been warning about incrementalism for quite a while. It is amazing to me how many people do not understand what an insidious and effective strategy this can be and how important it is to take a stand on absolute moral convictions without allowing them to erode a little at a time. If we let incrementalism work, we will look around in five or ten or twenty years and wonder how things got so out of hand.
We really need to make people understand the agendas and strategies employed by these groups so we can recognize the trends and stop incrementalism before it has a chance to progress.
It's more like .3%.
I'd be interested in how you dreamed up your number.
