Turkey : The Turkish Army is reportedly being prepared for creating a crisis in Cyprus

Under the banner front-page title "Media war by the EU against the Turkish Army!", KIBRISLI (1.3.02) reports that the Turkish Ministry of Justice has confiscated the "Idea Politika" magazine because it had written that Turkey is being prepared to create a crisis in Cyprus.

The paper argues that the article of the above-mentioned magazine has been published within the framework of the efforts exerted by the European Union to create "a Turkey where the power of money will rule and everything will be sold and bought like a merchandise". The EU, alleges KIBRISLI, "escalates the media war against the Turkish army which it considers as the biggest obstacle to this".

"According to the magazine", writes the paper, "the Turkish Armed Forces will create a crisis in Cyprus and will be absolutely isolated from the EU".

According to KIBRISLI the EU " is buying off journalists" within the framework of its psychological struggle and the campaign against the Turkish army.

The magazine wrote that Greece and the Greek Cypriots must not be considered as Turkey's enemies. It also argued that the reason for which Turkey wants to join the European Army is the fact that it sees from now that it could come to a conflict with the European Army because of the accession of the Republic of Cyprus to the EU.

According to the book Northern Cyprus: A Traveller's Guide, by Eileen Davey, published in 1993 in Britain, when the Ottoman Empire conquered Cyprus in 1571 "Cyprus at first welcomed the Turks, who suppressed the hated Latin church and abolished the feudal system." Conditions deteriorated later; she mentions a general massacre of Christians following the Greek revolt in Greece of 1821, but conditions began to improve later in the 19th century even before Britain took over the island.

Bernard McDonagh's Blue Guide: Turkey: The Aegean and Mediterranean Coasts, published in 1989, on page 94 quotes Henry Stubbe, Under-Library-Keeper at the Bodleian, Oxford, in the mid-17th century, asserting that "it is indeed more the interest of the princes and nobles than of the people which at present keeps all Europe from submitting to the Turks."

I don't think either Davey or McDonagh is a Turk.

The extent to which your conception of history and humanity has been altered by hatred and bigotry is astonishing. The mythical world you have created around yourself has cost both my people and yours a great deal. I can almost see the amount of pain you feel inside because of this hatred. I suggest you seek professional psychological assistance to ric yourself of it. I can just pray that the people of Greece have not allowed many more of your kind to breed amongst them.

Turk2: The pain I feel for the millions of slaughtered Christians by Turks is nothing compared to the pain and ignorance of the Turks themselves living under a Mafia State that allows no dissent and willingly kills those who disagree with it.

As for you and your self righteousness...have you ever heard of delusional reality. That is exactly what you suffer from. You have been brainwashed by your "education system" in Turkey and cannot and will not perceive the contradictions of your history. So sad...
