Yes I did see that clip at ron brown's funeral. I find it appalling that the accusers believe the parents are FAKING IT. LOL~ It is beyond belief. Let's say the mom hates her kids, hated being the stay at home mom she was, and was a 2 bit whore. If all that is true, than I pray the kids are taken away and she's charged with child abuse and neglect and serves a prison term.

I think the lawyers know the that libel is knowingly making false statements with the intent to harm. I think the lawyers are well aware of the fact that journalists have freedom of the press rights to keep sources secret. I think they are well aware that libel is very hard to prove, especially when one claims "secret sources". I think the lawyers know it is very, very difficult to prove intent. I think the lawyers were very comfortable with the law, because it is designed to protect the press, not individuals.

Yes, I saw the sickening news clip. I also know that to prove that a parent hates their child so much that they would fake grief would require evidence of hate, neglect and abuse. I pray that if you are correct...that if the mom is a first rate actor/whore who hates her kids so much that she fakes being a grieving mom...that she has her kids taken away because she would be an unfit mother obviously.

Hatred is an emotion. I'm actually maintaining that the woman doesn't feel much emotion. In other words, it isn't so much that she hated her children--I think she just didn't care much. I also don't think Susan Smith hated her children. I think she liked them so long as they drew attention to her and served her need to be thought of as a good mother. When they got in the way, she got rid of them. Mrs. VD did not "get rid" of Danielle, but she didn't care enough to keep her safe, and in fact, seems to have invited danger into their home by her lifestyle.

Travis,what the HELL does what they were doing have to do with ANYTHING,other than your own biases? What is important is what they DIDN'T do,which is check on their daughter!

Not that even checking on her would have stopped her murder,unles they were lucky enough to be checking while the guy was in there kidnapping her. I guess they would have discovered her missing earlier,but who knows if this would have helped or not? The neighbor didn't even leave with her until after she had aleady been reported missing,and he wasn't a suspect at that time. None the less,I suspect the rest of their lives will be a living hell as they keep thinking and asking theirselves,"what if?"

What is the background of this man? There is more to the story than two DWI charges in his past. A 50-year-old guy just doesn't wake up one day and get inspired by his kiddy porn to go a few steps further and kidnap and kill his neighbor.

He has possibly killed before--and possibly has had contact with Danielle before, with or without her parents consent. Also, it was weird that as soon as the child's absence was announced, the police also said that the neighbor was a suspect. Why such a fast connection between the two? Also, how did he get in and out of that house with more than two adults around without making noise? Wouldn't the child have make a fuss or screamed?

There is something weird missing about this case and these people and I don't think we have, as Paul Harvey would say, "The rest of the story...."

You're getting the picture, even though you may now think it's too far fetched.

So far, nothing has shown that DW's weekend routine changed or turned into panic until he arrived at a desert campsite. If he had prepared the RV for the weekend, then gone out for a drink on Friday night, he probably hopped into the driver's seat at 9:00 Saturday morning and pulled away without even looking in the back.

I've seen nothing here but a meticulous and cold-blooded frame-up.

Where are the VD's computers, cameras, internet/ISP logs, banking transactions, website connections, incoming VISA payment information, etc.? Does anyone paying attention believe they were NOT selling pictures and videos of their "games"? Where are the interviews with whomever was at the scene of the crime that night? And how much equipment and evidence did those people have to cart away with them?

Until a full accounting of the VDs activities has been made, the accused will have been denied not only the presumption of innocence, but also access to evidence which just might prove his innocence.

Too many people here are way too anxious to convict the first person questioned, and ignore tons of information that might point elsewhere.

Autopsy confirms body is Danielle's

Dental records also analyzed; no cause of death determined

A four-hour autopsy and analysis of dental records led authorities yesterday to confirm that the body of a child found two days ago at a roadside dump is in fact that of Danielle van Dam.

Medical investigators, however, have not identified a cause of death and offered no answers as to whether the Sabre Springs 7-year-old had been sexually assaulted.

But the key is, I would answer them because I know what the truth is. Just listen to the audio link and pay specific attention at 6:55 into the interview where Damon is telling Brenda in the background to not comment on the events and time when Brenda came home with her friends.

I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. A person who fakes emotions, is borderline sociopathic..like ted bundy. I'm respectfully asking if you think she is.. You said anger was an emotion and that she doesn't feel much about the death of her child. (althought I'm not sure what evidence you have to prove that she's not a grieving parent)
