When Jim Robinson started Free Republic in September, 1996 to expose the corruption in government and particularly the Clinton Whitehouse, he was alone. Now six years later, Free Republic has 80,000 registered members and who knows how many visit this site often, just to keep up on the latest conservative thinking.
Folks, you all know where this is going, Free Republic is a user supported website and it is time to support it. Four times a year we have this freepathon to donate a few dollars to pay for the bandwidth and expenses necessary to keep Free Republic online, and we do so with gratitude and cheer because of what is offered and accomplished by the existence of Free Republic.
Free Republic does not charge a membership fee or get supported by a government grant. No, people from across the World make donations large and small because they see the value of Free Republic. So if you're one that appreciates this site and want to see it continue, please send in a few dollars to help keep it alive.
Or mail checks to

It's possible to take photo graphics of legs!
Wrong legs, I'm afraid ... much too short for Gabz (according to rumor), and (we understand) way too overdressed..) but as a proof-of-concept first try, not bad at all.
Keep up the effort.
15.00/month donated for the next year ....... but how to tell Jim since its automatic payment, not credit card?
Your state is sissy pink.

I'm pinging Badjoe because I'm not sure how to answer your question in post #2482
I guess that I need another look to win with my grand daughter! I can't concede defeat to a not even 3 year old.
The grandson has been a kind of paradox. With his parents he has been a high maintenance crybaby/crab. With me, he has been content to just lay on my chest for 10 to 15 minutes. If he went to sleep, I would put him in a crib and let him sleep. If he stayed awake, I would put him on a rug with toys and he would play by himself until his parents came back. As soon as he heard them he would cry and want to be held. I just couldn't feed him baby food fast enough. His gram ma had to shovel it in for him.
Now that he has been walking for about a month, he is like a minature sherman tank or robot. As soon as he hears a door open (especially the refrig door), he is at that open door trying to get in. He has pulled out drawers that his sister never did.
You can't take your eyes off of him for a minute. He is like a middle linebacker. He likes to bang his head on your leg and just laugh. He falls down and bounces up laughing. Now he cries when I leave and ignores his mother when she comes in. He now enjoys having slow PaPa feed him. He has learned to tease PaPa like his older sister.
I said something along these lines on Friday, though not at well as you :-)
We're looking at nearly 80,000 registered folks - some have been eliminated, some have dumpred one FReeper name for another - so let's call it 70,000.
If everyone of them contributed $1 a month - a total of $12 a year, there would never be another FReepathon. That's the cost of a large pizza, or if you're like me the price of a case of beer.
There are 149 FReepers who have been willing to say they are regular monthly contributors. Of them 79 belong to the $1 a day club - they have contributions that equal $365 a year. And these are only the folks that are willing to let their names be known - there are lots of others.
These are not the people we are appealing to, it's those that don't think twice about logging in here. If we could get everyone of them to kick in $12 once a year - we'd be done with the FReepathons.
Now, How do we do it?? I don't know, except to use the FReepathons and keep repeating this kind of information.
Are you moving just so Idaho can get off the sissy pink list? Man! (hehehehe)
ie. We pretty much know that for every dollar donated on a credit card, approximately 20 cents gets mailed directly to JimRob.
I pay by Check Free and that is how I let Joe know what my monthly pledge/check is/will be.
I really have appreciated your feedback on the California Power Crisis group this past year. Davis at this time appears to be in trouble for the first time.
