"I have had the pleasure of helping in prepublication work for Aid and Comfort: Jane Fonda in North Vietnam
by Hank and Erika Holzer."

Too bad Nixon didn't have the courage to prosecute her for the treason she committed while Nixon was President.

Here is a blow-up of one of Mel at the WH with the flag that is not posted above. Still, no W with him. Perhaps tomorrow they will release some.

Thanks for the ping SB. I can't believe so many people on FR did not know that Mel is a Conservative. Good that the word is getting out.

Too bad Nixon didn't have the courage to prosecute her for the treason she committed while Nixon was President.

Per Ann Coulter, High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton, Nixon wasn't Nixon--Clinton was. The "danger to the Constitution" was under Clinton. Nixon was anathema to the left which had a feeding frenzy over the botched burglary.

The political climate would not have allowed any action to proceed against Jane Fonda at that time. At that time the left in government and the media was leading the sheep on the donkey trail of demeaning the U.S. military in general and involvement in Vietnam in particular.

The Senate was busy emasculating intelligence agencies and creating the hollow military which Reagan had to rebuild.

The times were dark. The national intelligence quotient was sub-Gump: Gerald Ford didn't know Eastern Europe was under Soviet domination; Call-me-Jimmy Carter thought American democracy was to give away like the family cow in Jack in the Beanstalk.

Now we can talk about adult matters. The children having been unmasked and dethroned.

Hell, I wish he wouldn't keep his politics quiet! We need more vocal conservatives in Hollywood --- but I guess he wants to keep getting work.

Tom Hanks, sadly, is a RAT -- but he is a RAT with some character. By all accounts, he is a good family man, a nice guy and a patriot.

Mel Gibson is a wonderful family man, refusing to be in pictures which have sex scenes because of his kids, is what I understand. What a treat for him to meet the President, and an honor. What a slap in the face to someone like Arafat who used to get invited more than anyone to the White House under Klinton but has yet to receive an invitation from our President.

Tom Hanks is related to Abraham Lincoln by his mother, Nancy Hanks.
Abe Lincoln, the very first Republican president.
