Thanks, and this is just another message to the super rich elite Arabs who rule their miserable countries by brutality!
You hurt this country! You and your country will not be there anymore.
Brute force and absolute deterance is the only message these super rich elite mass murdering Arab thugs understand. Of course all of the super rich elite mass murdering Arabs are cowards. They send boys and young men out to die for their hatred of America/Americans while living in palaces and driven around in their Mercedes!

Saddam might want to find a real deep hole.

"For what it is worth, this could get some attention, in Riyahd, Cairo, Damascus, Tehran, Tripoli, Algiers, etc"
Maybe, we should just pledge to first nuke Mecca if we are attacked again.

Absolutely, and this thread is tied right in to your comments to remember Mr Pearl.

India, Israel, Russia are allied with us against Islamic terrorists. Many smaller countries would ally with us as well. Jews, Hindus, Orthodox Christians have all suffered from Islam over history and will be willing to promote their alternatives both militarily and non-militarily.

"Am I sick because this really excites me?"
Well, they seem to want to kill as many of us as they can, so it seems fair to return the compliment.

You just said with more grace and style just what I was thinks...
What's up with this and why now?

I'm reminded of a song by Tom Lehrer(with minor modifications)
So long, mom,
I'm off to drop the bomb,
So don't wait up for me.
But while you swelter
Down there in your shelter
You can see me On your TV.
While we're attacking frontally
Watch Brinkally and Huntally
Describing contrapuntally
The cities we have lost.
No need for you to miss a minute of the agonizing
holocaust. Yeah!
Little Johnny Jones, he was a US pilot,
And no shrinking violet was he.
He was mighty proud when World War III was declared.
He wasn't scared, no siree!
And this is what he said on
His way to Armageddon:
So long, mom,
I'm off to drop the bomb,
So don't wait up for me.
But though I may roam,
I'll come back to my home
Although it may be
A pile of debris.
Remember, momma,
I'm off to get Osama,
So send me a salama (salami actually, but it rhymes)
And try to smile somehow.
I'll look for you when the war is over,
An hour and a half from now!

Ref Post 23. Regarding the draft, I am not sure they will reinstate. Judging from all of the crying from many "freepers" over the prospect of serving in the military, I can imagine the resistance from the general population.
The military forces first use their technology. Nuclear weapons are part of the technology. And, yes, we only have so many people in uniform. There aren't enough to go around.

"I have a feeling that God would not see eye to eye with me on this one."
God has destroyed entire civilizations before.
To: Don Myers
Exactly.
There are many summer soldiers and sunshine patriots here on FR. They are perfectly willing to take the blessings of living in a free and reasonably secure country, but when crunch time comes, they are inflexibly opposed to paying their dues.

"The US is the only nation to use nuclear weapons against civilians (or against miltary targets for that matter.)"
Our enemies should keep that fact in mind.
To: Don Myers
On this point (nuking Mecca), I'm not so sure that's a good idea. If we DO decide to nuke Mecca, I hope we have a contingency plan for quickly killing 1.2 billion (or so) Muslims in case they don't react in the way the wishfully-thinking assume they would.

"Didn't Russia make a similar announcement about six months ago warning anybody who was thinking about interfering in Chechnya? "
I don't think that Russia has to worry now about the US interfering with their actions there.
