Bush Administration Lawyers Defending Hillary - Gratis

If there ever was a vast right wing conspiracy, this much is now clear: it certainly never included President Bush - whose Justice Department is now defending New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in a lawsuit brought by Clinton White House whistleblower Sheryll Hall and Judicial Watch.

Over their objections, "the Bush Justice Department represents Hillary Clinton in this lawsuit free of charge, saying that it is in its 'discretion' to represent private parties," the legal watchdog group said in a press release Wednesday.

Hall was the White House computer expert who alleged that Mrs. Clinton was part of a conspiracy to force her out of her job after she told investigators about a data base compiled on the former first lady's instructions that illegally used White House social lists for Democratic Party fund-raising.

Hall also exposed the White House e-mail scandal, where millions of subpoenaed e-mails on some of the most serious Clinton scandals were withheld from investigators.

But despite her heroic efforts to expose Clinton White House wrongdoing, Justice Department lawyers were arguing against Hall yesterday - and instead for Hillary Clinton, a sight that was nearly too much to take for Judicial Watch Chairman Larry Klayman.

"I had to shake my head in wonderment at the sight of the Bush Justice Department working hand in hand with the DNC to defend the Hillary Clinton-led conspiracy to use the White House computer systems for illegal fund-raising," he complained.

"Rather than improperly giving Hillary Clinton free legal representation in this private lawsuit, the Bush Justice Department ought to be prosecuting her for this illegal database and retaliation."

I'm used to no other side. My first intuition was Bush held back. I never thought anyone would make a case against the Clintons and figured he felt the same.

This is an appeal court hearing. I don't know what it was about but apparently Judicial Watch and Larry Klayman lost in a lower court or their lawsuit was dismissed. I'm not sure what the DOJ is defending here as it isn't described in the press release.

This just can't be true. After all, I watched Mr Ashcroft speak the following words at his confirmation hearing.

"I pledge to you that if I'm confirmed as attorney general, the Justice Department will meet its special charge. Injustice against individuals will not stand, no ifs, ands or buts, period......."

"If I become United States attorney general, I, again, commit to enforcing the law, all of the law for all of the people........."

"If I am fortunate enough to be confirmed by the United States Senate and to become the next United States attorney general, I pledge to you that strict enforcement of the rule of law will be the cornerstone of justice."

When the Republican Party leadership called Pat Buchanan the next Hitler on the talking head shows in 1996 after he won the New Hampshire primary, I wrote them off. I'd heard enough character assasination of the Republicans at the hands of the left to maintain my loyalty to a party that would adopt the same tactics. More than any other single act, it revealed to me that the Republican Party had ceased to be legitimate, or at least let their values speak for them. Evidently they didn't have confidence in their values. Any longer. And if they didn't, why should I?

I voted for Pat in 2000. At the present time I see nobody on the radar screen that I'd vote for in 2004.

I don't believe in transfering our manufacturing overseas. I don't believe in illegal immigration and the plan to legalize them. I don't believe in a $300 billion dollar healthcare plan. I don't believe in increasing the DOE budget by $40 billion. I don't believe in the Patriot Act. I can't for the life of me think of an instance where the present Justice Department should take a position that might benefit Hillary Clinton.

Well, I see this as classic Bush if it is true. Before everyone goes and gets all mad, perhaps look back to how Bush has gotten such popularity and support with measly attacks by Demonazies. He takes away their ammo, and like a dentist removes a few teeth. All this does is make it that much harder for anyone to attack him politically when he has these small things to bring up to the contrary that he can use to counteract attacks. The evidence in this case will still be put into record and all, and if anyone wishes they could attain it. If they backed prosecuting Hillary, the whitehouse would come under fire lickity split. This is just a way to proceed with it, get the evidence out, and look like the "good guy" to the demonazies at the same time. Dont know, this is my theory. Tell me what you think.
