FINALLY - somebody in D.C. is waking up!! I've been confused as to why President Bush/WH hasn't been more vocal about this terrible bill - and the one in the Senate - but after reading this article along with Bush's March letter, it's clear "they" still don't understand Bush. He told them what he considered was needed in a campaign finance reform bill. They evidently still don't understand he says what he means!!!! I'm praying he will VETO this terrible bill.

BTW, did anyone else hear Sheays talking to Hannity on the radio yesterday -- he admitted that Congress members are corrupt!!!! If it's not already posted, I'll put up a thread from NewsMax about the conversation.

I heard that show. Shays was arrogant , pompous, and really let the cat out of the bag; BIG TIME ! Hannity went off on him, about the unConstintutionality of his bill , and kept on at Shays, about that. It was good to hear Sean taking Shays apart.

I had my concerns about this too until I realized that the biggest beneficiaries of this bill, the media, it's going to say one word about this knowing that the people will rip their local reps and senators a new one regarding the issue of free speech.

If the bill passes as is and it becomes a felony for citizens to run political advertisements 30 days prior to an election, the media can bombard us with liberal propaganda and such and we can't launch a legitimate response!

I imagine most conservative leaders are concern and vocalizing that concern, but I don't believe for a second the media will air it.

You probably won't hear a peep about this on ABC, NBC, SEE-BS or CNN because of that alone.

This is going to rely soley on the people to respond to this tyranny and let them know it won't stand.

The liberal media is all to happy to see our rights trampled and to gain a monopoly on political broadcasts 30 days prior to an election.

"I've been confused as to why President Bush/WH hasn't been more vocal about this terrible bill - and the one in the Senate..."

The media has let Daschle, Gephardt and the rest of the democratic spin machine spew their lies across the land with no rebuttal from the GOP. And if the GOP had something to say, it is always out of context so you can't find the truth anywhere except of FR, WND and a few other of the net media, all of whom are devoted to the truth! President Bush has made it loud and clear what he will and what he won't tolerate - get behind your President and spread the word.
