The Petition to New York City regarding the Firefighter Memorial
protesting the originally proposed Ground Zero Flag Raising Statue and seeking that the as yet unstated plans for a memorial be non-political and historically correct, has surpassed the 250,000 signature mark. It now stands at:
250,650 Signatures
The First 120,000 signatures have been sent to New York firefighters for delivery to the Mayor's Office.
The next 130,000 signatures will be on their way as soon as they are extracted, printed and bound. We will keep doing this until it is clear that plans for the memorial are not politcally driven and are not revisionist. That being the case, please continue to point others towards the petition site at:

to sign and forward the petition on to all they know. We can win this fight and in the process see many of our fellow Americans awakened to the PC-BS going on all around them which they in turn will question and then fight.

I also saw your thread on the Boy Scout adventure you and your son were recently on. Looks like a great time was had by all. My boy will be old enough to start scouting in another couple of years.
Those pictures of Idaho were truly awesome. I have to get myself and my family back out there, sooner than later.
Please pass it on to others ... family, friends, neighbors, your local fire department, everyone in your email address book. That is how this has gotten so many signatures so quickly ..... people just passing it on to others.

You have much to look forward to. Get the scout books now and start mapping out his path ... is he into Cub Scouts in a couple of years? If so, then work with him through that ... it is an excellent pre-cursor.
If he will be into Boy Scouts in two years, you may consider getting him into Cubs now.

Many people are really seeing it for what it is for the first time and it is good to see such an awakening on a broader scale. I just pray it has legs and can be extended to the many other issues.
I to want it to grow legs, like a millipede.
And yes, I already have the general manual and field guide. Excellent resources, although right now I'm doing most of the reading. $;-)
