I also forgot to point out that Galt's Gulch

Sweet Jesus, I pray this is a joke.
I am proud of my daughter. She teaches inner-city kids whose families have been moved en masse to her area. She really cares about them, too, and tries to inspire them to overcome their disadvantages. So when I keep seeing stupid remarks about teachers, it really makes me sad.
Please read more carefully, these government workers pay no taxes, or very damn little. So, no taxes, and as a bonus, no productive work.

O.K. I am no longer kidding around. Seriously, If you work for the public school system, you are part of the problem, not the solution. If you work for the public school system, your job ought not to exist, you are just bloodsucking my money for communist purposes. No "kidding" at all!!
Do you realize what you just said? Since you and your wife are public school teachers you send your own children to private school.
As far as your taxes, you have my deepest sympathy. I would suggest consulting with a professional. Take out a mortgage, give more to charity, buy an income property--these are some ways to cut your taxes, although not all are risk-free. It is our patriotic duty to deny government as much money as possible. Aggressive tax avoidance is one way. There are many perfectly legal ways to send less of your money to Washington and you should explore them all, preferably with a professional. There is absolutely no reason you should be paying that much in tax.
My children are college-educated professionals who went through the public school system first. They are doing well. They also have fine, stable families. I think you are just jealous. When was the last time YOU went to the slopes?

Yes. I recommend this. You see, you are sheltered!. I was sheltered once. My area of America was sheltered. OUR public schools were "O.K." "WE" didn't have ""New York" problems. Therefore government schools were legitimite in my eyes. It was O.K. to have Gov't schols as long as our local schol board was "conservative".

Thank God that I am temporarily living in the Northeast. It has been a revelation!! I might have never realized how demonic gov't schools are.

Ah yes the rest of us are subsidizing your family. Look at all the school taxes that will have to be collected to educate those babes too! I can't imagine why those that use less resources have to subsidize those that use more. Another flaw like the graduated tax. Maybe it's to buy more votes down the line...What happens when there becomes more takers than givers? At what point should tax credits/welfare become a disincentive for having more mouths to feed? Ever hear of birth control or is it against your religion?

Are you aware that the number of US adults who receive money from the government (via whatever manner) now outnumber those who do NOT receive any money from the government by between 2-to-1 and 5-to-1 (it depends on the numbers you choose to use / believe)?
