Do we 1)let Nature take her course, taking a lot of innocents with the crazy disrupters, letting the population stabilize at a lower level or 2) Postpone the inevitable with streams of food, medicine, and by importing unfortunate immigrants, setting up an even more horrific future debacle?

I'm all for letting nature take it's course. We've been "helping" in this region for more than 30 years, and it's done nothing but enrich afew warlords.

importing unfortunate immigrantsIf we let anyone in, they ought to be those farmers in Zimbabwe who are being driven off their land. Of course, those sorry souls are white so that's unlikely to happen.
The sad truth is Africa's problems are largely man-made and the men who made them have largely been Africans.

This is why I disaree with the majority of FR opinion on global population control. Abortion may be bad but whats wrong with giving 3rd world women 5 bucks to get sterilized it saves us about 500.

The 2nd option you mention is so stupid as to be unbeleivable. That's the one we obviously choose.

We should also pray for these poor souls. The innocent on that continent have suffered so much.

I think we should send food and videos of "The Patriot" and copies of the US Constitution. They need to revolutionize their government.
