Clinton Protected Terrorist Charity from FBI Shutdown
Newsmax ^ | 2/6/02 | Limbacher

The FBI wanted to shut down a Muslim charity that had been identiifed as a terrorist front group five years ago but was stopped by the Clinton administration.

In Dec. 2001 federal agents seized the assets of the Holy Land Foundation, which bills itself as the nation's largest Muslim charity, after announcing it had been caught funneling funds to the notorious Palestinaian terrorist group Hamas.

But, according to U.S. News & World Report's "Washington Whispers":

"FBI veterans tell our David E. Kaplan that they were ready to move on the group back in 1997 but were stopped by top officials at Justice and the Clinton White House." "They didn't want to come off as Muslim bashers," a source close to the investigation told the magazine.

Unnoted by U.S. News, then-first lady Hillary Clinton also feted Muslim supporters of Hamas at the White House. Her Senate campaign repeatedly raised money from groups with ties to Mideast terrorists - sometimes in secret - and disguised one contribution from the American Muslim Council as a donation from "the American Museum Council" in a Federal Election Commission filing.

My reply #16 was deleted by the Moderator. I received a message from Jim Robinson quoting my reply #16 and he wrote "Knock off the Bullshit" in his message to me about the reply.

My reply #16 expressed my sincere opinion and my reply had no profanity.

I am sorry but I cannot not agree with Jim Robinson's characterization of my reply #16 in his message to me.

I do not believe my reply broke the rules of FreeRepublic.

I expressed my sincere opinion critical (see reply #20) of the President ( a public figure who has been criticized by Republicans and Democrats since 9/11 about certain decisions made by him prior to and after 9/11 that did not make the President appear in a good light to them) and the FBI ( an agency which has also been publicly critcized by Republicans and Democrats the same way) in their handling of the events that led up to the 9/11 attacks which I believe is supported by articles posted on the FreeRepublic even if others should disagree.

I sincerely believe that President Bush, although very popular, and the FBI and the DOJ and the CIA made certain very bad decisions (which I do not agree with) before and after 9/11 relating to the handling of terrorism. Those bad decisons in my opinion should be made known to the American people and openly debated in a free Democracy with free speech and should in my sincere opinion be corrected by Bush, the FBI and the CIA.

Obviously with the post deleted no one will know what the subject was but if I can offer some advice, may I suggest that you let the current flame wars die down and continue to post factual information as you have in the past.

Things are tense right now but I'm sure that will pass in time.

Regards.

My reply #16 was my sincere opinion based on my interpretation of facts posted in articles by others, reputable sources on the FreeRepublic.

I thought in replies one was permitted to express their opinions within the rules (no profanity etc). I agree that articles should stick to facts not just opnions. But I posted a reply #16 with my opinion and it was not an article.

I might add that valid criticism of a President may be considered a personal attack by those in his own party, but he is a public figure and I did not use profanity and there is information to support my opinion. Plus much criticsm of Presidential and public figures is entitled to be considered just that, criticism and not personal attack, in a free Democracy with free speech.

Clinton and Bush have been actually been strongly criticised by others on this forum many times in the past and currently using much stronger language than my reply #16 without the criticism being deleted.

why is this still being covered up? I thought all the hoopla of getting bushtheyounger elected was to expose all the corruption of billyjeff et al yet it continues, nay, grows unchecked. who is pulling the strings, poppy? not likely as he could not move without some one else pulling his strings. there are barbarous acts of shadyism afoot, when will the people open their eyes and call a spade a spade?

I have no notion what the "current flame wars" are about, except that evidently some vague religious thing seems to have set off a chain reaction of accusations and apparent censorship. There's a 1,000+ post thread somewhere that reads more like a sensitivity seminar than something I thought I'd find on Free Republic.

Free Republic isn't mine. If it were, I don't know how I would handle these issues. Since it's not, I'm free to take offense at the way it is being handled, and if I'm axed for saying so, so be it. I can't be forced to say that Islam is the religion of peace and love. I can't be forced to say the emperor has no clothes if he is, in fact, quite naked. All I can really do is keep on saying what I believe is right, without actually calling someone a name that falls under the heading of curseword. Even if, in fact, they are.

If the axe falls on my account one day, so be it. Better that than going out with another one of those unholy opus posts. But I will say, however, that if I must look the other way at government corruption, even if it is "our" party, if I am required to ignore evil where I see it, then maybe this isn't the right place for me anyway. If I'm banned, maybe God is just trying to tell me I spend too much time here.

So in the meantime, I think I will not be censored voluntarily. This is not a tea party, and in truth, I nevered cared for tea parties anyway. (Went to enough of those as an officer's wife for 23 years.) I'll take my chances, and hope that Truth and Honor trump political correctness.

So: There's something smelly going on in Washington DC, in the Oklahoma State Capital, and likely many other states around the country. People have been, and are, looking the other way with some terrorist groups, while prosecuting others. I think we have a right to know why. Our country is facing far more danger than anyone seems willing to admit. OKCSubmariner has some clues about it; see also anything posted by Uncle Bill, Wallaby and a host of other good researchers. Unfortunately, some researchers have already been banned, and there are a few among them whose voices I miss. Some have even had every article they ever posted wiped from the board.

"All I can really do is keep on saying what I believe is right, without actually calling someone a name that falls under the heading of curseword. Even if, in fact, they are."

But the ones that DO the belittling, namecalling and obnoxious approach in so-called responses are dancing merrily along in their untouchable arrogance. That's what is irritating many good people to just leaving the forum. With the quantity of "Do NOTS" that seem to be in place on an arbitrary basis, who's to know what IS permissable? Especially when we see a couple of nasty dispositioned posters get by with anything repeatedly?

"who is pulling the strings, poppy? not likely as he could not move without some one else pulling his strings."

Look at the cast of characters behind jr. pulling the strings. Same as GHWB's cast, for the most part.

They're frustrated, power mad old fools that believe they'll be the Power Inheritors of the NWO. News for them----- They're too Old, and their time remaining is too short. Sorry 'bout that!

were stopped by top officials at Justice and the Clinton White House. "They didn't want to come off as Muslim bashers,"

Again,it is not surprising to note, that these people keep coming forward,(a year since the skunks left office) with these statements.Dick Morris will be a treasure trove for years, even though I don't like him.It really was all about POLLS to him.Imagine how many years it would've been to hear ANY of these things, had the U.S. Supreme Court NOT followed the law and Over-ruled the LYING Leftist Florida ( we can make our own laws,be publicly rebuked by the US Supreme Court and KEEP our jobs)Supreme court!

--have yet to see anyone even make a claim mc veigh and nichols weren't involved. I certainly think they were involved and played a major part in the whole conspiracy, but see no reason to stop looking only at *them* as the sum total complete conspiracy.

What we are/have been discussing in that context is who/what/when/where/why as regards the possible other folks involved, both direct perps and those with possible pre knowledge. that is where the continuing discussions (which is threadrift here, but oh well) are fixated, like, the forum mission statement, uncover past abuses? Only way to do that is to sort out possible past abuses, because -if ya happen to notice- most of the time high level abuses or crimes get "covered up" by the perps to the best of their ability, hence, it takes a little digging. This is correct? And there is no theoretical outside limit on what an abuse is, and following the guidelines, it may be discussed?

So, apples and oranges there. Starting with an erroneous first claim to base the remainder of the complaint on is...uhh... well, it's amateur posting at best. You can do better than that, I'm sure.

BTW, your twa800 side door blowing off linkages and posting is an example of "good" forum posting, my opinion. You have some decent data, and you presented it. OKCsub does similar, ratcat does similar, as do many others here, this and other subjects. IMO, it's "cooler" to try and stick to that sort of framework, to examine all the angles, reject nothing until it's proven from every direction to be false. Even alibis can be faked, it happens. Evidence can be lost or altered. We have enough avaialble data of past revisionism and obfuscation by "public servants" to remain skeptical of 'the official party line".

So, it's better to look and stay suspicious. A good investigator is by nature suspicious, yes?

from the classic master..., you'll recognize it...

"By the method of exclusion, I had arrived at this result, for no other hypothesis would meet the facts."

"You will not apply my precept," he said, shaking his head. "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?"

Sometimes occam's razor applies-the simplest explanation-, but only if ALL or MOST of the data leading to the question is presented, and only if the question is asked in the first place.......
